I would really recommend II’s drumeo performance of “like that”, as he himself calls it one of his favourite drum parts he’s written. Technical, groovy, heavy and smooth, it’s a really great combination of technical and melodic skills

I also really think you’d enjoy checking other II’s entire drumeo interview, even if it’s in your own time, due to how he talks about the influences on his drumming and the detail he goes into regarding his playing and the phrases/notes he uses.

There's 2 songs in his interview that I think are his most complex and that's "like that" and "higher" love your channel man!
I think some of their creativity in these songs, is due to the fact that the guitar and bass players only tour with them. Vessel (vocals) and ii (drummer) write the music together so some of these synth moments allow for non-full band work. Just my thoughts.
You almost got the band members right, its Vessel, then II, III, and IV. III and IV are very recent additions, until this last year they were just for touring and the band was just Vessel and II.

You should watch the whole interview Drumeo did with II its SUPER insightful and theres a TON of awesome playing.
II is one of the most "fluid" drummers I've ever seen, he almost looks like he's dancing behind the kit.
You listened to the summoning, now you need to do his playthrough for the song in Drumeo. He goes full throttle on the drum kit. It is a MUST do
