Put 5 minute epoxy on the bottom of the legs and let it harden. This will prevent the water from being absorbed in the end grain of the feet and prevent rotting of the wood when it is in the pasture.

Oh how, in many ways, I miss Spokane. Sadly they no longer have Playfair, which was my life and livelihood. My farm/homestead was way out west of town, roughly in the Rambo Rd x Lincoln Rd vicinity (north of Airway Heights).

You are coming right along. And have gotten so much done. Good to see the progression. Just one foot in front of the other. I like how you breakdown projects into doable chuncks. They don't seen so overwhelming. And better yet they get done and not abandoned. GOOD JOB LUMNAH HOMESTEAD. 😊

Big thank you family for all the good videos. First thing I do in the mornings is watch. I enjoy them so much. At 78 and not so mobile anymore, I watch a lot of UA-cam. So glad to see Olivia practicing her casting for fishing. Fishing was my favorite hobby but don't get to go much anymore. Sure do miss it. Thanks again for sharing your lives with us. Congratulations on the 200,000 subscribers. That is wonderful. You have taught somany people (not just homesteaders, how to build things and grow things and most importantly, how to work together as a team. Y'all are great teachers. Dinner looked delicious. Could you do a video about the pellet cooker? I like the idea that you are abe to use it in an enclosed space which for me would be a screened porch. So much nicer, you don't have to wait for a day that is not raining. Have a Blessed day.

Al: use some strong magnets on the kickstand and the other legs, this way you do not have to worry about making sure the clips catch correctly. you can get magnets with a center hole for mounting and then just use a small flat piece of steel or iron for it to click on to.

Congrats on 200k! I once made a project using conduit straps to hold the axles on. They got mangled and pulled off when one of the wheels got stuck on something. The solution was to bolt pieces of angle iron on the wooden frame using lag bolts. The bottom of the L faces away from the wood. Drill holes in the angle and use a U bolt to hold the axle on. They have never pulled out. Your original coop design was pulled by a person I believe. The tractor will generate much more pulling power. Great project!

In Australia a lot of bbq chicken is done with a beer can. Half full can. You stand the chicken up on the open can and cook as normal. It makes a beautifully moist flavoured bird. You can cook it like this in your kitchen as well. It is fun tasting the different flavours with different types of beer

Have you thought about getting into welding? A stick welder or a flux core welder can be good for entry level as they don't require shielding gas so no worries about settings and did I turn it off after a project. Steel to use is also easy to find when you actively look for it as fabrication shops often have sheets of skeleton (metal left after parts are cut out) that they sell for scrap and scrap iron/steel is not worth it till you are in the tons range, bed frames are also easy to find when you know when and where to look for people throwing them out.
A simple coat of paint on the steel to protect it from rust and you have something that would last years longer then wood so doing the job once for years of return.

We had the same issue with UPS deliveries in Tucson. Packages had arrived to the Tucson UPS facility, but languished for up to 2 weeks before they were delivered. It turns out that a number of the workers at the facility had contracted COVID-19, resulting in staffing shortages. Additional workers were brought in from facilities in neighboring New Mexico to help with the package backlog. The ‘new COVID-19 reality’ is that when ordering something, be patient and expect delays. Several businesses that I’ve ordered from for years have stopped offering expedited, or 2-day, delivery, as UPS, FedEx, and the USPS have been overwhelmed with the volume of packages that on some days eclipses the Christmas package volume. I’m delighted when a package arrives!

Your chickshaw is looking great. Can’t wait to see finished. You need to put sone little wheels on your turkey/chicken tractors Like the chickshaw, only smaller. ( just an idea) It would be a lot easier for you to move them. It looks like you tug at it it a bit. Lol🤪. And Gina, your dinner looks amazing...makes me hungry. And that salad....wow. Looks delicious. All ingredients.....please. 🤗🙏🏻🙏🏻...Anyway, have a great week, see you next video. 👍🏻 By the way...congratulations on 200,000 subscribers. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👍🏻👍🏻

They make a vertical wire stand to put in the chicken cavity to keep it upright. Or you could do beer can chicken, where you stick a half full can of beer (or ginger ale if you don't drink alcohol ) in the cavity as a vertical stand. It flavors the bird and makes it very moist ☺

Cheapest readily available source I have found for wheels with excellent bearings are Auctions and secondhand/ junk shops.
Buy an old push bike. Wheel sizes 20, 24 and 26” all readily available. As you don’t care about the condition of the frame you will be amazed at how cheap you can get the bits you need.

Fencing and hardware cloth is something that has been hard to find with the supply shortages. I wanted to pick some up and haven't been able to find ANY kind of fencing material for a month and a half now. I keep checking every time I go to the store though

Gina if you cut the back bone out of the bird. Put inside down on cutting board and press down on breast bone to flatten. It will take less time to cook. It is called Spatchcock chicken. There are tutorials on here.

To help it cook more evenly on your grill, you should try Spatchcock Chicken. A method of flattening a whole chicken.

I was watching Justin Rhodes modify his chickshaw and I kept thinking "Why doesn't he put hinges on the legs to get clearance?" I knew that was a good idea. Looks good and sturdy. Gina I know how you feel about your flower, my squash plant was a long time coming.
