In Before and After clinical photography, consistent lighting and photo angles are of the utmost importance for fair comparison. For photography evaluating skin texture and laxity, we prefer for patients to be bare faced, without contour or foundation in both the before and after shots. The lighting appears significantly different. The After photos are warm and darker (more flattering) and the before photos are better lit and brighter / more stark (less flattering). Additionally it appears you might be wearing makeup, or at least some contouring? (Most evident on the 3/4 view). It is not uncommon for patients to have After photos when wearing makeup. Especially after rhinoplasty or facelift. And we generally do not insist that patients remove their makeup because they are coming in for a quick photo and check-up before going on with the rest of the day and it is a hassle for them. So I do not insist they take it off. However for skin treatments and cosmetic therapy where the changes are expected to be more subtle, for a fair comparison the face should be cleansed and bare.
As a photographer I totally agree that there is no similarity at all in the lighting for before and after. That’s a shame as I’d be really interested to see and to consider whether to embark upon the treatment. As viewers we can only rely upon consistent photography. 😔

I have had three treatments of Morpheus eight and have seen amazing results. I am 55 years old. The nurse that does my treatments not only uses numbing cream, but also injects the skin to numb it even further. I have very little discomfort. She switches to a smaller tip with 10 needles to do the area around my eyes, including my upper lids and lower eyelids and in between my eyebrows. She also does my forehead with this tip and my nose. I love Morpheus 8!!!
I am 54 and just completed my 2nd of 3 sessions. I’ve scheduled them about 5 weeks apart. My sessions are a bit different in that they are solely focused on lower jaw line and neck area. Both areas don’t have very much “padding” as the cheek area would. That being said, it’s not a pleasant experience in those areas (even with numbing 45 min- hour) but it’s also a very short experience. I’d say …15 min max for my total treatment area and that includes a couple of short breaks. It was recommended to me for making my “jowel line” into a jaw line again. And no more Turkey neck! I could see the most difference in my neck after just the 1st treatment. No topical treatment can really change that at this point in my life. Believe me, I’ve tried it all! On that note, if you do use retinol products, it is recommended that you stop using them a week before treatment begins. My provider also gives me a follow up treatment kit to use after the procedure.
Almost 53 and going tomorrow for my first session. I have a high tolerance for pain, but these comments are giving me a little anxiety. They have numbing cream and nox for me. Getting jaw and neck done.

The best treatments are ones that cause minimal inflammation. The more inflammation, the more likely the skin will degrade and sensitise. Some of these treatments are especially inflammatory, and the surface-level results are at the cost of inflammation rather than restorative and gentle skincare practices. For example, the long-term controlled use of specific actives and an anti-inflammatory lifestyle, etc., may be more effective at truly benefiting skin health.
I have to smile each time I see these type of treatments. You will end up getting a surgical face lift but in the meantime, let us make a few thousand out of you with treatments which are going to have very limited results. Truthfully, I saw virtually no difference. No, I would say save your money for surgery. You wear a lot of make-up - the comment from your Pilates instructor may have just been a nice way of saying that you don't need that much (would agree with her).
I had this procedure done on Wednesday; today is Friday and I have canceled my weekend plans. While I do believe the results will be great because I trust my physician, no amount of coverup could camouflage the redness and weeping I am experiencing (not crying; skin seepage). In addition, I have been told many times over the years that I have a high tolerance for pain, having been through multiple orthopedic surgeries, and after my Morpheus8 treatment, my doctor said I “did great!” But I told him the treatment needs to come with a bullet and a bottle of whiskey because it hurts like hell.
Wife of m here , its not you , it is very painful , i think if they told ppl this , they may not get as mnay to agree to do tx. I had to use the gas after the forehead pass and didnt hesitate to use the gas for my next 2 tx. my face oozed and had horrific, monster sized white heads ( at 55) !!! pimples for the next 2 weeks and my neck itched like crazy , had to use anti itch cream . It took about 3 weeks after each tx to feel normal again
Hi Nadine, I found it very uncomfortable, the worst pain I’ve ever experienced from a treatment! The neck/jaw is definitely the most painful. I required gas and air to get through my treatment. My physiological response to the pain was uncontrollable shaking, at which point I was sat up and dosed with lucozade! I’ve had one and my 2nd is next week and I’m dreading it tbh. But the gas and air will make it bearable. I was extremely swollen for several days (I’m talking hamster cheeks) and it took 3 weeks for all the redness to go. I was also quite itchy so took antihistamines. The pain POST procedure however was minimal. Much less discomfort than when I’ve just had simple micro needling alone. I personally do see a difference in your photos. No it isn’t facelift dramatic but it IS an improvement. X
I’m so glad I’m not the only one. I watched this video thinking I’m just a big baby because even after a hour of numbing it was almost unbearable pain. I didn’t swell but I did bruise in a few places.
I won’t do one, even if it would help. I will do Halo instead but yeah, I swelled up like a pumpkin for several days and then my face was falling off so even though I went to work, I won’t next time. My medspa uses Ativan and has a CRNA but yeah, I would rather have a facelift than a M8.
I can't see a big improvement but if you're pleased that's most important. I am going to try Endolift for my lover face so maybe both of this treatments will make noticeable improvement.
Im 50 and have fat loss and laxity. Morpheus 8 is not a good fit for me, it can and does affect the fat in your face so even though the Dr wont tell you just be aware or ask them. I think you look beautiful, Im so glad the results for you were so great.😊
I have had 4 Morpheus treatments, and it did mark my jaw line, but it did not lift the skin. It made my skin look better. It does hurt even with a numbing cream.
I’ve had 3 sessions of this treatment, still to see the full effects as it’s only been 3 months, but contrary to what the lady says it’s very painful even with numbing cream and I can tolerate pain! My beauty therapist seems to press harder!
Nadine , you are very beautiful anyway . I really can’t see much difference because it totally different lighting !!! But if it makes you feel good it’s well worth it ! X
Well I feel like the biggest baby watching you. I did three treatments. I’m not sure if she was just very aggressive on the last one but it was almost unbearable pain. I was numbed for a hour prior and I still thought it was a 9 out of 10 in pain. I cringed and cursed through the entire thing 😖
I agree with others, you are a lovely woman anyway. I appreciate that you did this video as I was considering doing it myself but as I didn’t see much difference I am going to pass on it, especially as it’s very costly in Los Angeles CA.
I would have liked to see comparative before and after photos, it looks like you're wearing makeup in the after photos. If you're happy that's the main thing.
wife of M here ,i just had my 3 rd treatment. i can pigback off your comments. I was offered the nitric oxid ( laughing gas) with the numbing cream. guess im not as tough lol, I tried without and it was too painful. if Laughing gas is offered take it. I was extremely red for next 24 hrs . my 1st treatment, I broke out in huge white heads a around my lips and chin. My neck itched so bad by the 3rd day. 2 nd treatment had similar reactions. By the 3 rd week after the treatments I was back to normal. ( really only time im thankful i have to wear a mask at work, it hid all the pimple outbreaks). After my 2 nd treatment my beautician said my skin was glowing!! The pictures showed very min change after the 2nd treatment. i know this takes time , keeping my fingers crossed , here in US its about 1k per treatment , = 3k for the course of 3 treatments.
I am only going to add that this treatment is very PAINFUL. My significant other is an anesthesiologist so I received the VIP treatment of being under anesthesia. However, he still complained that I was moving all over the place in my half asleep state because my pain tolerance is so low. So, it's free for me and with anesthesia ( he is a board certified anesthesiologist). I am not sure I can stomach any more additional treatment. That being said, I had it done on my face and belly. This really tighten and melt the fat for those of us who had children. Not sure how others can stand the pain or cost ...
Looks great to me Nadine! Looks like it's definitely had an effect but the best thing is that you still look like you which is surely a good thing. The recovery also sounds a lot less daunting than from big-guns lasers or proper medical peels (I can speak to the latter from personal experience - not nice!).
I did in-clinic SkinPen and was very disappointed with the results so I’m reluctant to shell out for this one. I have a RF home device but finding it quite uncomfortable.
I find it interesting that nadine said it cannot be used around the eye area. I’ve just had a consultation and paid for 3 treatments around the eye area. The doctor I saw in the clinic said it can be used to help with tightening the area!
Can I just amazing results from the eye area- I’ve just had one session so far and it was sooo sore for about a week but now wow just totally rejuvenated- looking forward to finishing the course. It hurt like hell and I cried like a baby through the third pass of the tip on the area but it was totally worth it !!!
I looked that up before this video and you absolutely can have the eyes done. Some pretty great results. I almost don’t believe the results, though. 🤷♀️
The lighting in the before and after pics are so different and appears you have makeup on in the after. Too hard to tell because the photos are too different.
So, it is roughly $700.00 a treatment. That's really not a bad price for face and neck. I see enough improvement in your skin and a bit of lifting, Nadine, that I think it is worth it for you. I have extremely sensitive skin and I know that this procedure is not an option for me. I had IPL on my cheeks and chin and felt nauseous from the pain. I was also left with scaring. I'm glad this is working for you. Do what makes you happy!
Do or did you have any other facial treatments (EVER) on a regular basis micro needling, co2 , IPL, fillers ect Your skin looked very good before first treatment, if you get any regular treatments yearly, I think this makes a difference on results
The lady has had considerable work and enhancements. Her bone structure, eyes and skin around chest area indicate she's in her 60's. Her facial skin is amazing for a 20 year old.. I'd like to know her real age however I'm not sure she'd be honest about that either..
I wish these before and afters were in the SAME light to show a true contrast. It’s tough because I can make my own pictures look very different using lighting. Also you mentioned can do the eyes, I was told you can by two treatment places?
This looks interesting enough to try. I would suggest, besides the numbing cream, one might want to take a therapeutic dose of Tylenol and Advil cocktail prior to arrival.
I have had Secret RF, it looks good initially because the slight swelling plumps out the skin and I have noticed a difference in pore size and skin texture but now three months after with residual sweeping fully subsided, I would say fillers and Botox give more bang for your buck.
How does Morpheus 8 compare to Thermage in terms of results and value for money? I think Thermage may be a little more expensive, but the results for skin tightening are superior? Would be interested to know your and Dr Granite's thoughts!
The Morpheus 8 temporarily reduced my jowls and eye hoods, but after 6 months all returned, but less so. However deep fat layers in my mid cheek area and eye troughs have been permanently destroyed. The sunken cheeks and hollowed eye trough are lasting. Not a look I paid £1200 for !!! Then I was driven to get fillers, use a hydraulic pen, I need thread lifts too!! Don't waste your money, unless you have a very plump, fat face and can loose your deep fat layers, then you will !
Hello..I do see a difference between the before and after photo.. I was wondering if you tried Ultherapy or Thermage treatments? I am in my 50's and I am not sure which treatment would be best for my skin.
I am unsure if it’s worth for me. My practitioner talked to me about this at Mallucci, but it was over 3000£ and I’m not sure if I don’t get better results at a serious laser clinic like the one Theresa Tarmey has. Edit: I do see the difference between the before and after pictures, however, they are subtile - a big similar to when I had a HIFU treatment that is a bit cheaper.
Hi I am 46 years old and we t for the 1st face & neck treatment yesterday. Had read about excruciating pain etc but it wasn't bad. She mostly did one pass all over face and neck and then a second pass in just some areas of neck and one or two places on face. Is that normal process? I had read about 2-3 passes overall.
Have you had all three treatments? As micro needling takes time I’m a believer in that so this I’d like a go if someone in France does it Thanks nadine
Looks great! Seems totally worth it to me. Right now I’m comfortable with the idea of procedures short of surgery. I wonder if you could take a Tylenol ahead of the appointment as well? I guess the MD would have to okay that.
A year after your series of treatments, do you feel like your results have maintained or do you feel like the results regressed? Did you have any volume loss/fat loss in the area of treatment?
Ive read a lot and there are 2 heads. one with 24 needles and goes 4 mm, the other 12 and is about 2mm.. so should they use different heads on different areas. id encourage you to discuss this before your treatment so you are confident they are concentrating on exactly what is needed on your face
The feeling of thighting its getting swollen..we get that when using procedures with needles..I also got that and didnt saw no change just the swelling at first..+ they take us pictures their way to trick us like the before they make us get a double chin then the after they make us raise their head to a position where you don't see the double chin..and I told them no put me the same position then the new M.A told me is because they want us to tk pictures like that so we could trick them I told her I know because I used to work on a SPA
I would say I can handle tons of pain. This treatment was soooo painful and I have bad scaring. I have two left. After one I don’t notice much of a difference. And it’s super expensive. If you get it definitely have an RN who does nerve blocks. There are 4 levels of depth. She obviously isn’t doing level 4… it is not like what she is showing. She is prob doing depth 1 and 2. I would say so far for as much pain as it was and how expensive don’t waste your time if you are doing it for bad acne scaring
Ahhh just sat down to watch this on the big screen and you're a little squished box in the middle of my tv 😕 Is there any way of re-purposing without this happening? I will watch on my phone obvs, but just frustrating when this happens. Was all ready on the sofa with my cuppa 😅
So Nadine tell us .. did the results improve 4 months on , did you go onto have 2 more treatments, and would you say its worth the cost? Its great you shared, now we need some closure! hahaha...
Oh my, I sometimes watch those videos where they reconstruct famous faces from the past to see what they might look like in modern times - I thought your thumbnail was one of those! I wonder which Queen is that? She looks quite familiar!!
You say you had your three sessions over four and a half months. I had my first just over two weeks ago and I'm still itchy round the neck with bruising. My next appointment is early November and my last early December. I'd really like to take this slower as I'm worried that five weeks between each session is too short. Does it work with a longer gap between sessions?
With my experience I found it not worth it. I did all 3 sessions, paid about $3,000 here in Southern CA. It's been about a year & I've noticed fat loss in my cheek area 😢 my cheeks started to droop so I now have to get sculptra to add volume back. Which sculptra is not cheap at. all. I really think this could b a good procedure to have done, if you can afford top doctors like Kim K does. I went to a medical spa to have it done. U just hope for the best but not always get the best. Good luck if anyone gets this done. Save your coins so u can go to a top Doctor.
My problem area is around my eyes, so Morpheus not for me xx Have you had all 3 treatments in the after pictures? I don’t see a dramatic difference if you’ve completed the course, but you don’t really need this treatment in my opinion because you have good skin and always look lovely and lets face it most of us look better with a little makeup. Thank you for sharing your experience xxx

@mrobinson9669 were you happy with your results?
Thank you for this
The things that people do for beauty pffff
I’m so glad I’m not the only one. I watched this video thinking I’m just a big baby because even after a hour of numbing it was almost unbearable pain. I didn’t swell but I did bruise in a few places.
I won’t do one, even if it would help. I will do Halo instead but yeah, I swelled up like a pumpkin for several days and then my face was falling off so even though I went to work, I won’t next time. My medspa uses Ativan and has a CRNA but yeah, I would rather have a facelift than a M8.
Hi Victoria, how are the long term results? Did you experience any depletion?
I can't see a big improvement but if you're pleased that's most important. I am going to try Endolift for my lover face so maybe both of this treatments will make noticeable improvement.
Im 50 and have fat loss and laxity. Morpheus 8 is not a good fit for me, it can and does affect the fat in your face so even though the Dr wont tell you just be aware or ask them. I think you look beautiful, Im so glad the results for you were so great.😊
I love it, I've had 2 treatments and so worth it.
Wife of M here, i agree, still waiting to see these " amazing results" just completed my 3rd tx. very painful process!
Get someone who does nerve blocks too.
I think it's amazing on you and if I could afford it, well I would have done it yesterday! I think it made a "worth it" difference.
I agree. The pics are taken under different lighting, so can't really compare the before and after.
Helpful and amazing to watch and learn. Your skin appears healthier and hopefully you will be pleased with the collagen building soon. xo
Hahah you look gorgeous but I think it’s The Girl with the Pearl Earring cloth cap and earnest pout that is making me chuckle haha x
I’m doing this procedure this week. Sounds a lot like Vivace I had a year and a half ago. It was very effective.
wife of M here ,i just had my 3 rd treatment. i can pigback off your comments.
I find it very tolerable with the numbing cream and the laughing gas makes it more tolerable.
I agree with this. They just switch out to a smaller tip and do the lids.
Do or did you have any other facial treatments (EVER) on a regular basis micro needling, co2 , IPL, fillers ect
Your skin looked very good before first treatment, if you get any regular treatments yearly, I think this makes a difference on results
Great question.
I definately think she at least has lip filler. obvious
The lady has had considerable work and enhancements. Her bone structure, eyes and skin around chest area indicate she's in her 60's.
Her facial skin is amazing for a 20 year old..
I'd like to know her real age however I'm not sure she'd be honest about that either..
Thank you so much for sharing. It has made me more comfortable about having this done
A Significant result on your kneck and all over, im considering this for the future. Thank you.
I think money is better spent on IPL and microlaser peels (especially if texture is what you believe improved).
Or upgrading the gym membership! LOL. Exercise is going to be far more effective in the long term.
I did not see much of a difference in the before and after. Your skin is already so nice
My procedure was very painful. I had numbing cream on and the pain was unbearable.
Amazing you can really see the difference in your neck.
You always look amazing just better now 😇
I think your skin looks amazing!
I wish these before and afters were in the SAME light to show a true contrast. It’s tough because I can make my own pictures look very different using lighting.
Also you mentioned can do the eyes, I was told you can by two treatment places?
Can't see any difference. Wouldn't the light face mask do the same to the skin ?
This looks interesting enough to try. I would suggest, besides the numbing cream, one might want to take a therapeutic dose of Tylenol and Advil cocktail prior to arrival.
You look amazing. I am thinking about doing it.. Ironically I do Pilaties too! Im 51.
Definitely see an improvement, despite the fuss about lighting. The question is value, and goals. Is it worth the investment?
"Honestly..."-
So other statements not prefaced this way are untruthful?
I have had Secret RF, it looks good initially because the slight swelling plumps out the skin and I have noticed a difference in pore size and skin texture but now three months after with residual sweeping fully subsided, I would say fillers and Botox give more bang for your buck.
You look fantastic!- before AND after!
Incredible results!!! You look amazing as always ♥️
I’ve had two treatments, really can’t see any difference, not going to bother with the 3rd, think it’s been a waste of money!
See a huge improvement!!
How does Morpheus 8 compare to Thermage in terms of results and value for money? I think Thermage may be a little more expensive, but the results for skin tightening are superior? Would be interested to know your and Dr Granite's thoughts!
i had Thermage and had NO positive results :((
I had Thermage it was very expensive, painful & I saw zero difference.
Thank you. Your skin looks amazing
You look amazing! I think it would be interesting if you got 2 more treatments to see how it goes. I like the results! Your skin looks glowing!
You look fantastic !
I like the results, worth it.
It was worth it for you. Amazing.
Why is the lighting so different though? Why not keep consistency to provide a true representation of the result. Bit unfair.
From what I’ve seen Endolift gets a better result and less pain
Three full face treatments in London £3,500 whereas three full face treatments in Luton £1,500.
Hi Lizzie, ooh I close to Luton, can you share the clinic name please?
Harpenden skin clinic
Great video and review.
You’re a before picture you look gorgeous I don’t even think you need to have the treatment!
As micro needling takes time I’m a believer in that so this I’d like a go if someone in France does it
Thanks nadine
Looks great! Seems totally worth it to me. Right now I’m comfortable with the idea of procedures short of surgery. I wonder if you could take a Tylenol ahead of the appointment as well? I guess the MD would have to okay that.
Nadine I think your skin looks fantastic🤩💞 xx
A year after your series of treatments, do you feel like your results have maintained or do you feel like the results regressed? Did you have any volume loss/fat loss in the area of treatment?
Do you know how deep they are going? I have read that 4mm is the depth that its starts to destroy the fat, which I need all I can get.
Its great you shared, now we need some closure! hahaha...
I love Morpheus8. I'm 27 and I do it as a preventative measure.
Hey did u get the procedure done?
I am 29 and planning to get this done
You look great 👍🏼
Looking great , def worth it nadine xxx
Amazing results.x
Oh my, I sometimes watch those videos where they reconstruct famous faces from the past to see what they might look like in modern times - I thought your thumbnail was one of those! I wonder which Queen is that? She looks quite familiar!!
😂😂😂
Can it not be used around the eyes? I’ve seen videos where they appear to do this
why different lighting and different angle on the before and after pictures ?
You say you had your three sessions over four and a half months.
I had my first just over two weeks ago and I'm still itchy round the neck with bruising. My next appointment is early November and my last early December.
I'd really like to take this slower as I'm worried that five weeks between each session is too short.
Does it work with a longer gap between sessions?
For the cost and the pain it's just not worth it for me.
Do you have to keep getting it done through life, or is a permanent thing?
Nadeen what's the difference between the profound RX and the morphious8. Which is better?
You look amazing 💕
Do you think it is worth doing this treatment? I had a doctor said to me do not waste your money. I know your very honest
It does treat eyes
How safe is it?
what is the after care products you use?
With my experience I found it not worth it. I did all 3 sessions, paid about $3,000 here in Southern CA. It's been about a year & I've noticed fat loss in my cheek area 😢 my cheeks started to droop so I now have to get sculptra to add volume back. Which sculptra is not cheap at. all. I really think this could b a good procedure to have done, if you can afford top doctors like Kim K does. I went to a medical spa to have it done. U just hope for the best but not always get the best. Good luck if anyone gets this done. Save your coins so u can go to a top Doctor.
Yeah I believe Kim K paid $5000 each session at her Hollywood clinic.
How are you doing now? I have my first session scheduled and I'm a bit skeptical due to the potential fat loss in the face.
I have olive skin and would like to know if my dark spots will get darker is I use this?
I am curious how she might compare the results from Morpheus8 vs FORMA
My problem area is around my eyes, so Morpheus not for me xx Have you had all 3 treatments in the after pictures? I don’t see a dramatic difference if you’ve completed the course, but you don’t really need this treatment in my opinion because you have good skin and always look lovely and lets face it most of us look better with a little makeup. Thank you for sharing your experience xxx
Hi DM, you are so right. Any thermal treatment will make the eyes look worse.
