Amazing! I was recently doing research for a video I made about taylor swifts bag collection and I totally missed this image of her with Joseph Duclos! I am also surprised and it seems as if she mainly wears LV and YSL lately!

I've always loved Swift's bag collection. There are times you'll see her wearing a popular designer, but she wears more unknown "quiet luxury" even not so luxury designers than you would think. Years ago in her early 20's she carried a Mark Cross handbag and I knew she was not your average (what's popular) handbag enthusiast. The Diane bag is definitely her style.

I definitely agree that the Birkin shouldn't be compared with the Margaux, as the only brands that can come close is Joseph Duclos and Delvaux. The Row still got a long way to go.

Taylor used to wear a lot of Prada bags and I personally wonder what other YSL bags she has that we haven’t seen. I’ve noticed she, these days, likes to wear bags without the obvious logo/branding.
Maybe her style is evolving
@@SoAnesu yes, it’s always changing dependent on the album she’s releasing lol. But she probably is done with her new money phase and is now a bit more subdued with her clothing.

Like you, I am very surprised to see her with a Duclos bag. I don't know how much it will move the needle for JD since so many of the "Swifties" are still on the younger side, but I'm sure it will pique their curiosity. Hopefully not too much, so the brand doesn't one day become mainstream!
I wonder too a brand like Joseph Duclos takes a special mindset but Taylor has definitely caused interest.

I like the croc options beautiful. Croc is hard to work with but you have one of the best creative directors overseeing production you won’t get a better made bag anywhere else.

Hi I love your content! I was wondering if you plan to talk about Franzi? I'm shocked given their rich history--and relationship to Gucci--they're not discussed more. I think their leathers are stunning but was a bit taken aback that they choose not to line with this same material on the inside. I'd love to hear your opinion!
Thank you. There are other brands out there that are more impressive and making better bags. Gucci doing his apprenticeship at Franzi although noteworthy doesn’t really move the needle that much for me personally. Fabric lining at their price point for use of a better word is ‘taking the piss’ leather all the way! I wasn’t intending to talk about them but if I can get an appointment next time I’m in Milan, I will just for you.

Delvaux is not higher quality than Joseph Duclos but it is high quality. I’ve definitely seen videos on UA-cam have you done a search?
I’ve touched on the brand briefly (3/4 videos) and will again in the future but the brand hasn’t had a creative director for maybe 3 years, I’m keen to see what the future holds and especially considering they are now owned by Richemont.
Speaking of Devaux…. Would you refrain from purchasing any bags at this time, to see how things shake out, given the lack of creative director (similar to Moynat)?
Yes I would and then throw into that Richemont as a parent company is making me increasingly nervous. Richemont bought Serapain Milano before and they have changed hardware suppliers the zips on the suitcases are being problematic apparently what next? You would hope they will keep things intact with Delvaux because it has done well as is it only needs a profile boost but it’s brutal world we live in.
@@SoAnesu I appreciate you responding to this question, you really have the inside scoop! So right, it is a brutal world. I did see a glaring mistake on a Brillant bag last summer in the Delvaux Paris boutique - a wrong stitch on the style with the large, exaggerated stitching. The man I was with first noticed it, which is really saying something 😂 I will put all of my funds toward the Diane, in that case 😘

The brand will become mainstream now just like how Celine became popular because of Lisa Blackpink. I’m a bit disappointed as I have been eyeing this bag as an understated luxury item.
