I wish the Darbar editors could resist the temptation to insert what sounds like canned applause in this brilliant performance. To merely show the audience clapping would have probably sufficed to convey their appreciation. I thought we had left canned-applause behind in the days with Anup Jalota: this affliction, I was sure, affected only Idea Jalsa programs these days. Alas!
I disagree on this. This is a matter of choice. I personally like when audience praises the artists unobtrusively. Like older recordings, I like when on certain harkats an artist is praised.
