I'm not having a lot of fun in this "Rock/Paper/Scissor with extra steps" endgame mode. I doubt I'll do more runs this patch. In the 1st half I had a few runs over 1700 points left with Seele, then of course when I started recording I got below that. Xueyi works way, WAAAY better in the 1st half (she can oneshot a whole phase of Cocolia), but she's my beloved so I play her anywhere. At the time of the recording of this video the websites that I use for character showcase cards were not working. I want to make a video with all my builds in the coming days.
@@everis2535 this game mode puts way too much emphasis in the break mechanics. I find it extremely uninteresting because it reduces everything to matching element X against enemies weak to X. It greatly reduces team building options and I don't find it particularly rewarding to know I got max points because I used quantum units against enemies weak to quantum. MoC, PF and AS all heavily favor the units that Mihoyo has put on banners; I personally dislike break mechanics because they make the game feel like rock/paper/scissors.
Gonna be that guy and say, you completely fell for the gacha trap of wanting/needing the banner characters for the difficult endgame content. This event was meant more for players like me who don't have enough time to get the resources to build characters and also those who don't want to whale or dolphin on every banner. It's simple, kinda fun, and I get decently rewarded for doing what I can with the characters and resources I have.
ngl that’s exactly whats fun about it. elements didn’t really matter before since you could brute force everything, now it adds an extra layer to teambuilding and the game truly feels like an rpg where every mechanic matters
i feel so bad rn because i completely forgot my seele exists, and cocolia has quantum weakness... i did it with kafka + swan + acheron and i only managed 1259 action value, my acheron is so poorly built that blackswan was doing more of the heavy lifting ngl
My Seele's build is well above average and there are a few eidolons in this team. I've seen good results from e0 Seele's but it takes different rotations
@@SirGrindalot Ngl, i was initially thinking of giving up on my Seele but watching this was so fun, i'm definitely going to try and get her stronger :)
It's mostly a matter of matching elements. In the 1st half use characters who can break cocolia's toughness bar; break the two pillars, then break Gepard, then take down cocolia. Same in the 2nd phase; depending on how much damage your characters can deal, you can skip some pillars for faster clear. Second half is similar: here harmony MC is very good, then any combination of fire/phys/imaginary characters you have. Break the pillars, then Argenti, repeat in the second phase. Each fight can vary a lot based on which characters you have and how well they're built

Would you care to explain this a bit more? What exactly is much worse about this than moc or pf?

I cleared the 1st half way faster with Xueyi than my e2 Kafka
I don't have Acheron and BS though
I pretty much have the same 2 teams but my Seele is not doing anything ToT
