Anthony has the most magnificent of voices and brings lumps to my throat every time I listen to him. Two other songs in particular really do it for me and they are: Boulavogue and Grace, just incredible.
This is a masterclass in performing this song.
This Saturday, I Get To Accompany Him While He Sings This! (As Well As If I Loved You, and Younger Than Springtime!) I Am So Excited! He Is Helping My Orchestra Pay For Our Trip To Perform In Carnegie Hall In NY!
He Comes To Perform In Port Angeles Every Few Years! SO Glade That He Is Coming Back, And That I Get To Accompany Him! Best Seats In The Whole House!
Laurel Jenkins lucky you!!!
I played this for the USO show, considering that I'm leaving for the US Army in August of 2012. My mother started bawling in the audience, and seeing that made me cry on stage as well. I got a standing ovation and so many hugs that night :') this song means a lot to me and my family
Thanks! That's him. He's my favorite ValJean. People hate when I say that but I really loved the way he sang certain parts, like. You are wrong and always have been wrong, I'm a man, no worse than any man, you are free! and there are no conditions, no bargains or petitions, there's nothing that I blame you for, you've done your duty, nothing more. But I like the way he sings all of it
Love Anthony Kearns. What an amazing singer. First was introduced to his music when he was part of the The Irish Tenors. Wish him all the best and hope to keep hearing his songs for a very long time.
I like how he shows the emotions. He has a very powerful voice as well.
Was lucky to see Anthony in Arlington last spring. Sat a mere 5 feet from him during his performance. Just amazing!
marvelous
Great singing! Anthony kearns gets better and better all the time, I like his version of this song. I think he sang it with honest emotion.
Listen to this every once in awhile--still heavenly!!
I read the book. And this song matchs perfectly to the book. Amazing!
beautiful! thanks for this upload
Absolutely magnificent!
Thank you for posting
My fav Valjean is someone whose name now escapes me. He's a country singer, curly dark hair. I thought he was amazing. He's on the full copy of Les Mis
Heavenly!!!
That was Gary Morris for the fully Les Mis Symphonic Recording. It was actually recorded in 1988. Gary Morris is a great singer. He never played ValJean onstage. All the cast are from different countries.
great rendition! i wish it was in the original key tho. Anthony's higher register is incredible
I wonder where I can get the vocal piece for this? I love the fact that he uses full voice and not falsetto!
I enjoy this. The quality of his sound is so pleasing. This is in a lower key and I feel that the timbre and gentleness of the piece is not as present. Again, I couldn't do it better, so I'm not knocking him for any reason. But I prefer Alfie Boe. I don't personally believe that this is how the composer intended the piece to sound. But again, it's still beautiful.
He starts a little loud, but great dramatic moments in the middle parts, the end is good. Wonderful tenor voice.
I just realized this melody is straight out of Madam Butterfly. No wonder it is beautiful. Puccini can't be surpassed.
I wish the music had been a bit softer. He was drowned out a tiny bit.
The tracks are off. It’s a bit off-putting to me, although I would die to see Mr Kearns live!❤️
What was louder...his voice or those stripes?!
@19111ellyc hey Bocelli's amazing! don't hate on him haha.
Not a bad performance. But compared to Colm Wikinson or Alfie Boe, he really lacks emotions.
