Beyonce goes above a F5 and she gets that gospel squall which is why shes always my preference of a vocalist. where Kelly can sustain those notes sorta like a Celine Dion if that makes sense...low notes beyonce easy the belts in terms from F5 up kelly can hit those with ease. love what you doing brother keep it up

Beyonce is a mezzo with a heavier voice…Kelly is a lyric Soprano with a medium weight voice. High belts are more in her wheelhouse. The fact that Bey is even still competing with a full soprano is crazy

LOL, Beyonce's notes have so much more reverb on them compared to Kelly's, it's very noticeable. I think that's why you perceive her belts as sounding "more savage."

No i definitely called her belts savage because of their power! She has such a powerful voice some (me included) would say savage! And also the reverb if anything is more like an echo or vibrato its an effect it doesn't add any power that's all her!
@@_brunoduarte_06 Ah, that's where you are wrong, my friend! It's a fact that reverb adds depth and space to a vocal track, which enhances the perceived "power" and presence of the voice. It's a very common trick used by singers to give their voices a fuller, richer, more intense quality. Think of Beyoncé's performances of Dangerously In Love, especially. I'm not saying she can't sing and doesn't have power without it, but the added reverb gives her a notable boost and its effect is especially evident in the selection of clips for this video. And reverb most CERTAINLY doesn't add any vibrato - that doesn't even make sense. 😂

I'd give it to Beyoncé. The fact that she's a mezzo soprano and giving Kelly, who's a soprano a run for her money is enough reason for me.

overall, I think Beyoncé wins for me. Kelly is overall a better belter and is better on the upper belts but as an OVERALL vocalist, Beyoncé wins. her lows are faaaaar more developed and Kelly doesn’t stand a chance there, her mid belts are all well placed, has power, she can sustain with or without vibrato, all supported and resonant. although a mezzo, she still can support up to F#5 which a lot of mezzos can’t do which is why Beyoncé is constantly compared to sopranos not realizing she isn’t a soprano herself lol. her head voice is more developed than Kelly’s as well, it’s full and operatic. Kelly’s head voice is very light and pretty compared to Bey’s, which isn’t an issue, but putting them side by side, the fullness of Bey’s head notes makes Kelly’s look a bit weak. however, the F#5-A5 range, Beyoncé may can support there but she doesn’t stand a chance at all lol. Kelly is just so good up there it’s insane to listen to. those F#5s are like an eargasm!!!

I watched the video and commented on it, if he don’t wanna see other people comments that don’t agree with his opinions then maybe he should cut his comments off completely….and it’s the fact that my comment wasn’t even rude lol, i never cussed him out or said “YOU’RE BIASED FOR GIVING…” I simply stated that I woudlve given Bey this note and WHY! so the fact that he even hearted your reply is a side eye but then again, his energy has been hella weird since the last video i commented on 🤧

It’s always going to be Kelly for me on this one. I’ve never been a Beyoncé fan. She can absolutely sing, and I don’t deny that at all. I just don’t connect with or feel anything about her singing, not to mention that I also am not the biggest fan of her tone or style of singing. With Kelly, I feel every single note, as well as her singing is stunning & very tasteful. I definitely prefer her tone as well. Beyoncé definitely is better on the really low notes though. Everyone has their own preferences, opinions, vibes, etc. and that’s totally fine. There’s plenty of room for everyone (artists and fans alike). 😊
I feel the exact opposite. Kelly’s voice and singing style doesn’t move me at all. Never has. I find her upper belts too dry for me and not as powerful as Beyonce’s. Don’t like her tone or anything but she and Beyonce are two of the greatest vocalists of all time. So this all comes down to taste.
Beyonce is the queen period but Kelly is comfortable up there, it's her home

@@squarcircle2254 You seem to be a big Beyonce fan considering you are replying to every message that is saying they prefer Kelly or that Kelly wins this, so I don't think me explaining in detail is going to have any impact on you. However, sure I will speak a bit on this.
In summary, looking at this as objectively as possible (rather than subjectively, such as saying Kelly is able to change her voice to suit more genres):
Beyonce tends to push her voice above C#5 and doesn't mix to the extent needed for healthy notes. This is not always the case, as many of her better attempts are shown in this video, but is often the case. Kelly rarely has bad placement below F#5 these days.
In order to reach certain notes, Beyonce only has one way to reach them, which is to push her chest and use as much volume as she possibly can, which is not the greatest technique. With Kelly, she can belt quite high despite not having to scream the notes because she has mastered mixing them with head voice to thin them out to match the tone of the song.
They are different voice types, so just comparing note to note isn't exactly fair as Beyonce does have better lows and Kelly does have better highs partly due to that. However, one more objective measure is that Kelly's songs generally always have a wider range required from the lowest to highest notes, generally covering two full octaves of chest voice alone, which requires more technique to consistently perform and overall is more difficult. She also tends to have more advanced skills in her songs as far as register switches/flipping, glissando, extreme low-to high jumps, etc. Beyonce tends to have more runs when it's in a comfortable range.
Over the last two decades, Kelly has continued to improve her technique and has gotten healthier sounding belts the longer her career goes. Beyonce has improved in some areas, but you can't hear any improvement, and in fact if you listen to dangerously in love you can hear a bit of a decline, despite lowering the key these days.
Beyonce is an incredible vocalist, but she's not quite Kelly Clarkson level.
I could go on, but I won't.
