  • Not sure what to say about this QRP ATU other than its still a bit of a novelty or toy product. Not had a chance to field test it due to time and weather conditions. Hopefully will do an on air test video in the future.

Thanks for taking time to make this. They seem quite low quality and a few weird design choices. The fact you had to fix it to make it work. I will stick with my wonder wand and this has convinced me it was a good buy.

When you connect a wire to the antenna & counter poise, use 6mm or more earth bond wire, the difference is on recieve/ speaker wire signal 6 / earthbond wire signal 9+++

Thanks for info. I don't have any larger wire to try. But I will try it one day if I can get wire without spending too much money. George

Many thanks for watching. These radios are good value for money. Despite some small issues. I find them ideal for portable outside low power operation. Normally I only use 20m and 40m and have settings in radio just for those bands. Happy adventure in radio. Cheers from old George. 🤠

I think you turn the knobs to best results. Then write them down on a piece of paper. So the next time you use it on whatever freq you first used it on. You turn the knob to whatever you written down and it is a way of remembering the best results. George

May I ask how you rewired it? I can't see very clearly in your video. mine is literally different than what is shown in your video. The bottom of the box is black and the two wires are also black, I can't understand which ones are soldered to the central one and the ground. Thanks in advance
