Kathy, I have been a collector of crosses most of my life. But, your cross design penetrated my heart. The cross of our LORD was not some beautiful shiny thing. It was rough and rugged and in itself caused our LORD much pain, even before they nailed Him to it. Yet, the beautiful things with which you adorned your cross design, represented the beautiful love and sacrifice of our LORD for our salvation. I made this cross last year for church. I made two of them and everyone loved them. I used the small jute twine from Wal-Mart and didn’t even use a whole roll. It looks hard but it was really relaxing. Thank you for showing this cross design.

I saw that cross and KNEW you’d make something gorgeous!! You know like most people I love the Christmas Season but truly Easter is the main event! I bought quite a few cross forms last year and for Christmas I wove the garland ties in and out. I then decorated with ribbon , poinsettias, berries, and some greenery. My husband made me wooden stakes with some notches towards the top so I could attach with zip ties towards the bottom of the cross. My aunt and I hammered the stakes into the ground and attached the crosses at family member's graves. I have 3 forms left so I hope to find some of the rope to make these. Cut up drop cloths would be nice to drape over to represent the shroud also. Thank you for the ideas. You make such beautiful crafts!

I made my cross . i put across the words He Is Risen . i used the same flowers but in orange color, put the thorn crown with red spots symbolizing Jesus blood. A purple,ribbon and a butterfly in the right corner. It looks beautiful. A rememberance of the sacrifice Jesus made for us on the cross and rose on the third day.
