- The Good place is one of the best TV show in recent years. Mike Schur created one of the most gorgeous, funny and detailed comedy of all the time.
Working with an amazing cast including Kristen bell as ELEANOR, Ted Danson as MICHAEL, Jameela Jamil as TAHANI, D`Arcy Carden as Janet and many, many more brilliant actors Shure produced another one masterpiece on NBC, that we`re all so grateful for.
While we waiting for The Good Place Season 4, which is soon to come, we decided to make a video that explains why does the Good Place is so unique.

The background music is too loud, most of their "hidden facts & Easter eggs" are taken verbatim from IMDB's trivia page, the presenter is so bland that I began tuning him out after the first minute, half of his "facts" involve loudly describing his observations of straightforward jokes:

The Good Place is a masterpiece. The attention to detail is great and the humour is on point!
The only issue I have ever had about the show was that Chidi uses peeps to put in the Chilli. These are very much NOT a thing we have here in Australia, so might have been more appropriate to use something else??

Neat how this vid went from subtle Easter eggs in season 1 to “did you notice Eleanor was played by Kristin Bell” obviousness in season 2.
I live near an airport that lost its "International" status when an airline stopped the one daily flight to Canada. Being Jacksonville, someone probably just pointed out that Sante Fe is actually a domestic flight.

I live in New Mexico ans once I flew to Boston to rent a van to help a friend move. When I gave the agent my driver's license and credit card she asked if I had an AMERICAN driver's license.

Good video- albeit hard to understand the narrator over the background music.
The color themes carry through the whole show. When they're in the good place, the chapter placards are green. In the bad place they're red. In the middle place its yellow.
Am I the only one that noticed John asked if 322 was a special number when Janet said that was the number of residents in the neighbourhood and then that was the name of Michaels apartment in the final scene/episode

He was a producer and writer for the show, but I think you're right that he didn't create it. 🤔
And it was an American version of a British show; "inventor" is a bit strong for something someone else has already made.

If by "inventor" you mean that he changed the characters' names for American audiences, then "schur".
"Basurero" doesn't exactly mean "trash", but rather the place where it goes, such as a landfill. It also refers to the man that works picking trash up. It could actually mean any of those but, by context, it's more likely to be the first one.
I loved the Good Place. Great video.
The Office was not by Mike Schur, just redone for the American viewers by him. Give credit where it's due.

There’s a flashback with Eleanor at the grocery store buying alcohol. It’s when she dies. While she’s checking out you can see a magazine of Tahani in the background

Not even that.. more like a dump. Though I'm also Venezuelan and there's other ways that people use it, I suppose. For us, basura means trash and trash can, basurero is what you call something bigger, like those huge bins outside, landfills, or it can even be the name for a place that is just completely littered with trash to the point of it being completely disgusting. This actually fits even better for the character imho.

I think as an entertainment information outlet, you can do better in terms of facts like the above. Also, Parks & Rec wouldn't be possible without The Office, but kudos to Shur for making these two brilliant series after writing for The Office.
I wish that the world also give an attention to the show “One day at a time” too.

I caught pirates of the Caribbean 12 Easter egg and the parks and recreation Ron and creppy photo guy. As a bonus, any fans of portal 2 recognized wheatlys voice as the guy in season 3.
In the final episode when they're showing Michael living as a human, he's sharing his chinese food with his dog Jason. In addition to the reference to Jason, on Ted Danson's previous show Becker, his character's favorite food was chinese.

The Archangel Michael was also first seen as a healing angel, but over time became a protective being. He lead Gods army against the devil, just as Michael led the humans against Shaun, who I assume is the head Bad Place guy.

heres something you guys missed,,, the native American statue in the American buffet resturaunt is a possible reference to Tecumseh the native American statue that sat near the front door on "Cheers"

I kind of thought the Indian statue at the Cowboy Skyscraper was a nod to the statue at the entrance of Cheers. He was sort of a good luck charm in that series. Maybe I was off, but that came to mind when I saw it. = )

I find the hidden details that he list, were too granular and in places that ppl viewing the show wouldn’t have otherwise catch (e.g. Eleanor’s search history, sentences in menus, magazine covers, etc.). I thought he would highlight Easter eggs and hidden details that were in plain sight, or predicted future plots of the show :/
