i just recently swithced to obsidian as my primary note taking app due to some issues having with notion desktop app but its great to see they are adding so many amazing features. Cant wait for notion mail
Thanks for watching! It does seem like Obsidian is gaining popularity recently, I may have to check it out again and revisit it. I also can't wait for Notion mail to officially launch!
Looking good! As a template creator I have just a few wishes for future notion features: 1. Be able to lock blocks and database fields so they're read-only. This is just so that accidental edits can be prevented. A template user should be able to unlock the block/field. 2. Having a database view that is lke the default Table view but in horizontal direction, i.e. the properties are listed vertically on the left and any value data fields extend to the right horizontally. Rationale: I sometimes need db tables that have only one record and is used like a property list, but I want to keep having the data type inputs. 3. And ultimately biggest wish: Spreadsheet blocks! Doesn't have to be as powerful as Excel but something like Apple Numbers capability would be awesome!
Nice to meet a fellow template creator! I love all of these features that are on your wishlist! For some reason I had never thought about the horizontal direction tables but it makes total sense. Hope this would be possible someday! and yes, spreadsheet blocks would be amazing!
