No, not sometimes. I have a specific look for some people hair that is very hard to have. I have seen a girl at my school with thin long silky hair that was a little long compared to this other girl with very thick choppy hair wich was long but the girl with the thinner hair had hair nobody else had! It was very nice to touch and she won best hair in my class!

Ok, so I've been thinking of getting keratin done. I've got really thick curly/wavy hair that is so stubborn and it takes me an hour to straighten. I Only straighten my hair on special occasions but man it takes forever. The only reason I want to get it done is so that it would make my hair more manageable. I love my curls and I'm worried that if I get keratin then it'll get rid of my curls.
EDIT: Thanks for all the amazing advice guys, I really appreciate it! I've decided not to have any procedures done at this point.

I would recommend the brazillian blowout for your hair type and what you're looking for! It just stops the frizz but doesn't relax the curls. For sure makes it more manageable!

Just wanted to share with everyone that even after a keratin treatment I still have a little texture and slight frizz in my hair (I had really kinky and frizzy hair before this). Idk if it’s because I opted for a cheap option, because I’ve seen better results on others that have really curly hair.

Okay so I want to get this done but I have loads of questions.
    1. After I have a shower would it go wavy? (I have wavy/curls).
    2. Do I have to use a certain shampoo and conditioner?
    3. Can I use heat? Like hair straighteners and hairdryers and curlers?
    4. When do I have to get it done again?
    5. how would I know when to get it done again?
    6. Can I still put products in my hair? (Untangle sprey)
    7. Does it ruin you curls?
    8. Do you have to grow it out to get rid of the straightness?
Thank you for your time! 🤍

You must have high proestry hair like me.
I did a tone of research & found that we have dry, frizzy hair because our cuticles are ALWAYS open so moisture goes straight in then out.
Apple cider vinegar rinse is our best friend is seals your follicles/cuticles after you condition your hair to seal in mositure.
For added mositure use virgin olive oil/extra virgin olive oil heat it up on the stove NOT microwave & apply root too tip for 30 mins them shampoo twice/ condition THEN apple cider vinegar rinse massage on scalp & ends for 10 mins & rinse out.
      :)

@@josephujoestar7894 keratin is a protein but "formaldehyde" which is a corrosive chemical.. (we use to preserve cadavers for anatomy and dissection) is use to lock the keratin into your hair and make your hair pin straight...
Trust me.. something that has given you straight hair like that for 6months approx is not health-wise...

I want to do this process because I'm going on a beach vacation and don't want to deal with all my frizz. What would you recommend, the keratin treatment or Brazilian? Again, I've died my hair numerous of times so it's processed and not very healthy. I want to do something that actually works! So basically... it's relaxing your hair and making it straighter. I don't know all the science behind it, since I don't know much about hair, BUT I've been getting this treatment done on and off since I turned 16 (I'm 21 now) and I love how it makes my hair feel. With it, or without it, my hair never feels dry.... but with it, it's EXTRA soft and smooth. It's just perfect. You don't ever have to style it because it just dries perfect. Not frizzy, not curly, not poofy..... it looks like I got it blow dried after it air drys. It's INSANE!

hey!! it looks like I have a very similar hair type and length to you, and I dance a LOT. over the summer I have an intense camp where I dance for 7 hours straight, and it's really hard to keep my hair up. would this make my hair too soft and not hold as well in a bun/ponytail? also, once it has been 4-6 months, does your hair go back to what it was before? thanks so much, I loved the video!

    • @elianajalali
      @elianajalali  8 років тому

No, I don't think it would be an issue. I DO have a tip for you though! I used to dance a lot also and this is what I would do/still do now when I go to the gym. I take a section of hair from the top of my head and bring it to a high pony. Not too big of a section, and I secure it with one of those small, rubber, elastics that you would normally use at the end of a braid. THEN, I take the rest of my hair, add it to that section thats already tied up, and basically make a normal pony tail. Having that first elastic REALLY helps keep your pony tight, and in place!!!
The keratin will slowly start washing out and your hair will go back to normal! (:
