Agree on the auto-tune, but Spector's "wall of sound" was filled with a lot of effects, mixing and techniques.
There's no denying the talent and musical quality of this recording, but that's what it is - a recording. They are lip syncing to their recorded song. Note that the song fades out at the end, no live finish.
This is one of those very rare songs that defies cover versions. Nobody has come close to this version.

My parents were married in December 1964, when this song was released. They were together until dad died in 2014, and mom died last year. This reminds me of a time when they were young and in love. ❤️🥲

This brings back the good memories of by grandfather, driving in his car with the soundtrack playing as we cruised down the road in the early hours of the morning. The good times out in nature with him. Before dementia took him over. before I knew what an ass hole he truly was. The loving grandfather I try to remember when all I can think of is how badly he treated by father, aunt, and brother.

Everytime he sings: "it makes me just feel like crying" it gets me. Nobody can sing it even close. A magical song.
The background music and harmonies accentuate it as well. Part of that credit goes to Phil Spector too. He wrote and produced the song. Although the tempo was slowed down and the key lowered from the initial way he wrote it.

When i was a kid, my dad would play this in the car, and i really hated it with a passion. As a 40 year old adult i heard it again for the first time in 20+ years. These men are gems , absolute perfect vocalists.

To me it's one of the truly romantic love songs of all time. I remember wrapping my arms around a beautiful brown haired blue eyed young lovely in the early 70's and wishing the song was longer. This and Hold me, Thrill me by Eddie Holman.

Just saw them on an old PBS special. Bobby could not hit the high notes as he aged. Bill Medley sounded better than ever. Still one of my favorite duos!

Im 35 and I absolutely love these guys
Great, powerful voices and pure, straight up talent. These are songs from an era when American artists and performers REALLY DID HAVE TALENT! The crap that comes out of singers' mouths in the form of grunts, groans and pornographic gyrations modified by machines is absolute and total GARBAGE! It really was a privilege to have come of age when these guys were around and at their peak. Just about EVERY DAMN THING in America today is dumbed down to the absolute LOWEST intellectual and artistic level, from music to television to movies and behavior and manners in the daily public discourse. We are a nation and a people in retreat and retrograde. Very sad indeed.

On an evening out with my wife Louise of 50 years in Vegas we went to the Stardust Lounge at the Stardust Hotel to listen to The Fortunes on stage. During the performance Jon Washington asked "Are there any requests?" I went up and requested "You've Lost The Lovin" Feeling" by the Brothers Righteous. He said "Are you sure you want this?" I said "Absolutely!" They did a great rendition almost bringing the house down!" Just read a history of the song about Phil Spector and "Wall of Sound." In Brian Wilson's own words this when he heard this song for the first time almost made him want to hang up writing songs. But it inspired "Good Vibrations." Can you imagine!!! Bobby Hatfield is long gone but Bill Medley has teamed with another talented singer and continues to impress their audience. Going from critics saying too long and dark to one of the most successful recordings ever! Cudos!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I don’t need the music of today
I saw these guys perform live at the Sacramento Memorial Auditorium when I was 14 and Phil Spector was the producer. These guys brought the roof down -- fans screaming, crying, and fainting.. God I am glad to have been born to see it and hear it all!
