I used to love working on those tractors but l started out on 450,560,06,66 and 86 series. Yes l am an old guy. A lot easier than new ones today but the hardest problem I had was trying to find a place to plug my computer in.
Thank you so much! I replaced the PTO clutch pack in my 706 today, and I'm back to being able to bush hog my field. I wish I could give more thumbs-ups to this video.
Great video!
Thankyou!
Like how you do your jobs
I have a 856 and my PTO will not disengage my lever is working from the outside, the piston is moving up and down if anyone can help please
Sounds like your Judas Pin may be broke. on the bottom side of the PTO is an 1 1/8" plug. Take it out and see if part of your valve falls out.
My 806 needs a bearing in the PTO 540 shaft. I have an 806 narrow front end parts tractor. Will the PTO assembly work? The housing is casted different but the bolt holes are the same..could I use the part tractor PTO assembly until I get the original rebuilt?
Hmmm not sure. I'd call redrunrite @redrunrite.com and run it by them.
Good job keeping old tractors going
Really ❤
impressed
that oil looked nasty.
Weather permitting, I park it on a steep incline, no need to drain oil. Nice video
Thats perfect.
You definitely know your shit!👍
Got you fooled!
You make look easy.
Ha. Thanks.
Are these a similar set up to a 454 ? Mines slipping and I fear it’s similar
where can I get the correct gauges to check pressure. my dad's 1066 PTO is barely spinning
In the video description there's a link. You could take the cover off above the pto, look inside and see if you feel alot of play between the clutch packs...then just buy clutch packs and you might be able to get away without buying the gauge.
How many years have you been servicing IH tractors? Also I have to say you make it look enjoyable
about 10. thanks
i am die hard IH, love the videos, keep up the great work, i am learning things, but one thing i learned was do drain the hydraulics was to put a hose in number one remote, and put the other end into a empty barrel or if you have help, buckets, start the tractor and use the remotes to drain the hy-tran,. much easier. just my 2 cents.that is how i put clutchs in my 1466, but then that was never the problem, the really small roll pin had snapped for the on/off lever. i am sure you know what roll pin i am talking about .
Interesting I've never seen it done like that.
Great job on the repairs for the red machines. I have to ask is your Rooster Red also?🤪
There's definitely a couple red ones out there!
