Yes it's true. I was a high school drop out that got a GED and only a few semesters of college and now make jut under 6 figures on my way there. I know a few people that have degree with no job or some I work with that hate on my because of how much I'm moved up in my company. Mentors. Mentors was the biggest thing for me and jumping on any opportunity giving to m and working hard. Now I can afford all the music production gear to produce music.

Man I wanna hear more. I currently don't really like my job at the moment because it taking away so much of my time doing things I want to do at the moment. I feel that, voice overs would benfit me since I am currently a producer and know how to work with voices. I would like to know if you can give me some advice and I could ask about your ladder of success?

I'm glad you took the time to let people know that music production is not for the few, but for everyone. One problem I have with this video is the confusion of your mastering ideology. Mastering is the art of taking a mix and making it sound great on any platform (ie: from ear buds to club systems to car stereos). Your idea of " making a doughnut" with mastering is actually still the mixing stage. This is the first video I have seen of yours and I'm impressed, I just don't want new producers to think everything can be fixed in the mastering stage.

I think that you have to produce music from your heart and from self pleasure not for the others
Only that way music will get through you really fast and will achieve results
You give your song a unique sound because everybody is unique and when you let your song flow you let it flow from the heart

You obviously are a well mentored or highly self-educated person which adds extraordinary value to your output. This is not the stuff they teach you in school and more people need to realize this through teachers like yourself. Many thanks.

#2 is 100% true. I have made some fire loops that ended up making a lame track and had some loops or melodies I thought were not so great that ended up being dope after mixing and building the sounds. writing/recording is the ingredients, mixing is the cooking, and mastering is the plating.

that's relative, learn medicine on your own, where do you get the bodies from? stop trying to look smart, grow up, read books and stop throwing dogma like statements on the internet, you are embarrassing your future self.

@@ignaciogobet605 he's technically both wrong and right. You actually don't need college to be successful, so you self-learn. But you're right, obviously, I can't teach myself medicine lol. I need school for that. So honestly, it's all intuition. Do what you believe is right. School or not lol.

it depends on which industry you want to work in. Computer programmers are a perfect example for your argument. The music industry is also changing. But you won't be a lawyer, judge, accountant, doktor, engineer without a degree that will proof your skills/knowledge (most of the time).

    • @GrimR3apa1102
      @GrimR3apa1102 5 років тому

Actually youre all wrong hes right, how do you think third world countries help fight illnesses, through self teaching one another or sending one person to college in america so they can teach others, otherwise everyone in india would be dead, as for computer programmers, alot of them are self taught because code is a free non tangible object which everyone has acess to. There have been cases of kids hacking schools to play minecraft and all this knowledge was online. A degree in america just tells someone hey im certified to work on your body, does not mean you have a 100 percent success rate of saving a life, compaired to SOME combat medixs who have never gone to nursing school. Knowledge is power and how you obtain that knowledge is up to you

Wow I just discover this and it's very useful today, at the last point It depends a lot where you live or your resources, I include myself in this case, I am from Venezuela and it is really impossible to start a base in music, to do it is only the option to emigrate to another side and well, a very complicated situation. But in part BWB is right, sometimes we just let ourselves be interrupted by not so important conflicts and we do not put ourselves into action, excellent video.

What makes a track that has a Mood?
    1. Great drums, you must select the best drums for that track to compliment the entire song.
    2. Bass! There was a study done and they said Bass is really loved by the human.
    3. Great Chords! and with that the type of sound/instruments you use as chords.
    4. Melody on top of the chords.
    5. Counter Melody on top of the Melody and chords.
    6. Your arrangement, how you arrange the music, this will cause an emotional phase in the music.
    7. A great singer to compliment with their voice/instrument on top of the music.
