@@Kenneth_James It was mostly resistance to the pilot, the limited female demographic they showed it to thought that his character was too abrasive with the grunting and the crude humor like spackling Al's buttcrack shut, which is crazy considering what shows get away with these days, but once the show got on the air a lot of other women started writing in to the network and saying his character was just like their husbands and then it was off to the races from there. It's one of my favorite shows behind Married with Children.

Think about it, if A network can’t make money on their 2nd highest rated show I’d say its incompetence. They might have made more on a lesser viewed show but the public hated them for canceling. Channing Dungey was an obvious “diversity hire” and horrible at her job. The way she handled Rosanne and The Connors fiasco will be studied for years as a “what not to do” in damage control. She ostracized the right and the left will never think anything is enough. This is why she just resigned last week. She’s been screwing things up for years.

They made a business decision and I am honestly shocked they kept it for as long as they did.
Mandy is still on the show just the original actor Molly Efram isn’t playing her. Now Eve is no longer on the show regularly. I guess she’s gonna be on every now and then since she was like in the first 2 episodes of season 7

People can't even appreciate Tim Allen and not bring up his politics. He's a great comedian and actor, regardless of his politics. There might be things in agree with him on and things I don't, what does it matter. His craft is what's important. Kinda like you don't ask an engineer for his political views if he's damn good at his job. It's sad that politics is dragging him down in any way or people support him not because of his skills but for his politics

My fave episode was when Tim Allen's home improvement costar showed up and the entire episode was ha HI and fourth wall reference- my fave line from that episode was when the lady from home improvement said her husband was funnier than mike and he replied " maybe he had better writers" Also like the may references to toy story and The Santa claus franchise (xmas episode ed asked mike to wear a santa suit and mike said "me in a santa suit? Never going to happen"

Tim Allen has a home in my county in Colorado. I have numerous friends that have had the misfortune of meeting him at the local bar. Sadly, he is an enormous jerk in person. What is annoying is people thinking ABC was wrong and canceled it for political reasons. Tim Allen has a movie/Tv career literally because of Disney/ABC. ABC didn't own the rights to LMS which automatically makes the show cost more to begin with and contracts were up which meant pay raises were set to happen. LMS only averaged around 6-7 million viewers and was never a top 40 rated show. It is now at Fox and still only has about 6 million viewers but they can do it cheaper over there. It really is that simple folks.
They didn’t get everybody back. Molly Ephraim had already gotten other contracts so Mandy got recast. Molly Ephraim’s Mandy had this overly narcissistic personality that when coupled with her air head trait was hilarious! Molly McCook’s Mandy doesn’t have the narcissism so she’s just like a female version of Kyle. Molly McCook is funny and she’s pretty but her Mandy character is just not the same.

Tim Allen has a home in my county in Colorado. I have numerous friends that have had the misfortune of meeting him at the local bar. Sadly, he is an enormous jerk in person. He gets angry if anyone tries to socialize with him for any reason. I have a good friend who's young son wanted him to sign a Buzz Lightyear poster and he would not sign it. Everyone in town knows he's a total asshole. He is not the nice person that you see on TV.

What is annoying is people thinking ABC was wrong and canceled it for political reasons. Tim Allen has a movie/Tv career literally because of Disney/ABC. ABC didn't own the rights to LMS which automatically makes the show cost more to begin with and contracts were up which meant pay raises were set to happen. LMS only averaged around 6-7 million viewers and was never a top 40 rated show. It is now at Fox and still only has about 6 million viewers but they can do it cheaper over there. It really is that simple folks.

They didn’t get everybody back. Molly Ephraim had already gotten other contracts so Mandy got recast. Molly Ephraim’s Mandy had this overly narcissistic personality that when coupled with her air head trait was hilarious! Molly McCook’s Mandy doesn’t have the narcissism so she’s just like a female version of Kyle. Molly McCook is funny and she’s pretty but her Mandy character is just not the same.
