How was the cruise? Anyone now curious about solo cruising or cruising in general? Ask away if you have any questions! Please subscribe if you enjoyed the video! I'm very close to a big milestone 😁😁 I'll see you in my next train & cruise video!
As a long-time cruiser it was fun to watch a first-timer's experience. All cruise lines provide the wonderful benefits of relaxing travel with all your meals provided and the freedom of just unpacking once no matter how many places you visit. Plus that gorgeous Caribbean blue water!! Most of our cruising was on Princess or Celebrity, which are perhaps a step up from Norwegian. Their ships, in my experience, are quite noisy, but they do have some nice amenities. The lack of the "single supplement" charge for solo cruising is a plus. Since my wife died this year, I am now looking into solo cruising, but I'm not sure I'll choose Norwegian - quietness is something I'll gladly pay for. I also was interested in the train journey, since I've been interested in that for a long time. I live near Raleigh, so the Floridian could be a choice for getting down to the cruise ports in Florida. Coach travel may not be for me, though. If 1st class is available I might try it. The roomette charges are more than flying though.
Nice video. I've been on 10 cruises, including the NCL Escape, the sister of the Joy. 15:28, that is a pilot boat picking up the local pilot. The pilot helps the captain guide the ship into and out of every port. It can be a very dangerous job when entering and exiting the ship.

Looks like a wonderful cruise. We board this ship in November 2025. The ship and the water looks beautiful. Thanks for sharing. New subscriber here.
