the 88-98 chev/gmc trucks are my all time favorite gm trucks i especially prefer the 91 to 94 ones i like the seats the interior and the fact that it has minimal electronics. .greatest trucks ever made! i love them
I tell people all the time to get '89-'98. They are becoming true classics. Plus they run forever. AND that's the years Dodge looked like vacuum cleaners & Ford's just looked absolutely TERRIBLE with their goofy rounded off fenders
Absolutely agree (even though I'm a early obs guy myself) but my dad has a 2000 c2500 that I get to drive around in and am gonna be making payments to buy it cause he wants a jeep and i think he'd be making a mistake selling it to anyone but me or my brother
Just fixed my Chevy pick-up 5.7 true dual. Took a week off to put it on. That sounds and performance is a must have. The heart beat of America for all to heat. Would of brought it down to Tennessee if you were closer..
Really digging that Carven muffler on #3. Not too loud but still gets some sound out. My neighbors are cool about my Vette and Cobra having sidepipes, but I don't think they'd like my daily '94 GMC K1500 to wake them up at 3am, so that might be the muffler I go with. My glass pack that came on it is rotting out and I'm wanting to change the sound.
What would you guys recommend for a 98 chevy k1500 with the 5.0L vortec and stock exhaust? Im looking for a smooth deep rumble with none of that clapping noise.
@@youngsoin9125 I know people shit on the 5.0 but it's sure better than the older 5.0 and 5.7 tbi, it's my daily driver so I don't really think headers would be worth the effort, maybe a flowmaster 40,44 or a super 10 would sound nice.
Hey rene I've got a 98 silverado with the 5.0 vortec I did all the research for best sounding muffler I ended up with a Flowmaster super 44 single in duel out and the reason for duel out is I wanted duel dumps under truck 16 inch long and turned down on the ground not one bit of harsh clap or tin sound all just amazing deep rumble you can feel its so deep when its running outside I can putty hand on my front door and feel the vibration also sounds like its cammed duel out is best more pipe means more surface area for rumble and dumping under truck helps project sound all around truck not just out passenger side so you walk around truck while its running and the sound is projected everywhere
Don't go with a flowmaster. Go with a glasspack, but have the baffles facing forward so it packs the exhaust just a little bit. At idle it'll be almost as quiet as stock, but when you step on it, it's gonna bark and roar
Awesome job on the reviews! really helps figure out what I wanna do to mine. I have a '99 4x4 2Dr Tahoe with the 5.7. Do you have a source for the high flow cats in this vid? Thanks in advance!
On average how much would it cost for a complete exhaust system on these trucks. I have a 1994 with the 5.7 and I would like to true dual with no cat no muffler or add a super 10. Just curious as to what the cost would be to get something like that done.
@exhaustaddicts whats the cost to have the job done from last the clip done to my truck? i have the same model truck and this is the exact sound i want!
I just put a dual in and out super 10 exit in front of pass rear tire with 4 inch rolled stainless tips no cats on my 1990 2wd short bed standard cab with a 350SB
To each their own but I will never understand for the life of me why anybody would want their daily to sound like a clapped out pulpwood truck from the early 80's with that ear piercing, splattering exhaust. I could see if one has the hp and cam note to back it but a stock engine with clapping exhaust is annoying as it gets lol. To each their own tho! Nice video brother!
I got a 1994 Silverado 4x4 3 inch exhaust wizard 305 why do you guys have a 5-7 with a two-and-a-half that don't make sense just curious to why there's a difference between my 94 with 3in exhaust in these 96 is and so forth with two and a half please explain
Trying to see #1s set up but with shorty headers to 3 in 3 out high flow cats, with 3 inch true dual with the raptor style tail pipes to 5 inch black tips
@@201231 I didn’t get to get on the rack lmao I been had that exhaust bro but I believe it would of been like 120 db but recently I cut my cats out and it’s straight piped with true duals with 6 inch roll tips it sounds nice I’m going to cam it next
i do not like angle pipes on a chevy . If you have a blow out in the back that tire will tear it up an your fender . Love the right out the back or out both side's
Wtf was that y pipe the 2 exhust side were facing straight at each other wow garbage welds suck as well 954 muffler in Hollywood Florida is hands down the best shop ever perfect welds and real h and y pipes
Those converters on the black GMC were STOCK not aftermarket..Definitely not bolt ons...Why in the world wouldn't the Carolina Squatter fix his leaking headers before or while doing the rest of the exhaust done..smh
Gotta love a 5.7 Chevy outclassed by newer engines easily with better mpg's and power but can't tell me there's nothing better
Yeah I have one they’re great
Damn right
idk about mpg but still love them. my 93 really be getting 9 pg

That carven sounds phenomenal.
They all sounded good. But the 88 with the side dump I my favorite!
My 97 Chevy got a muffler delete via age, rock salt, and rust.
Nice, can’t beat a free muffler delete😂

Flowmaster 40 is untouchable
i love how you tell em to get er done
Got to love the GM OBS trucks, I have four. One is straight pipe, two are flow master 40's. Fourth one is going to be the super 10.
Big difference between the tbi vs vortec about 75 hp
The blue obs at the end sounds amazing cammed
thanks bro i appreciate it
I'm thinking of going sloppy stage 2
Sounds like those headers are leaking tho but sounds great

Heartbeat won! Chevy Thunder ⚡
At 9:53 does that say 358000 miles on that beast???
Lowered only in the back 😂😂
The blue lowered sport truck and the burgundy truck are the best.
I have a set of long tube headers for a 350 and one is longer than the other and I was wondering if there is a reason for that
Ima def head down there at some point. Even though I live in Pennsylvania lmao
Nice keep the videos coming the last chevy was setup nice! But my favorite video so far was the vol 1...
