This makes sense. I have always slept on my stomach for years and never snored. About 3 years ago, I began sleeping on my side, and now I snore every night, driving my girlfriend crazy. Time to switch back to my stomach. Thanks for this valuable tip! You probably just saved my relationship. 🙏
When the pillow is placed behind her upper skull area, as he demonstrates, and you can see all the wrinkling under the woman's chin and neck, this is closing the airway; not opening it up. Basic CPR teaches this, and this is not what I consider to be healthy for anyone to sleep in the position demonstrated here whether they snore or not. The airway needs to be open and not narrowed. Underlying causes for snoring may not be discovered by the person snoring because they think it's one of those things...that they snore. It's not! Therefore CT Scans to see if there are other problems contributing to snoring should be investigated. Polyps, blocked sinuses due to a build up of mucus that doesn't naturally drain away, and a deviated septum, are usually the main reason/s why people snore. Other causes are a lazy palate, where the tongue is vibrating when air is sucked in and out, either through the nose or mouth.
I have a therapeutica pillow and it puts the head in a good position either on the back or side. I breathe better thru my nose when on my side. I do occasionally wake with dry mouth meaning I'm mouth breathing.
@@RichRich1955 i’m a certified neck pillow collector- changing them out during the night - can’t seem to THE one. buckwheat sack to start off on back, then mem foam log for rest of night. what do u use for side sleeping? breathing’s an issue for me.
My husband seems to snore more when he puts weight on and it eases off a bit when he loses weight. Last night was awful, some strange blowing noises, then lots of grunts. I am trying him on antihistamines and sudafed.
Lying without pillows makes my mouth open wider and snores louder; lying on my stomach makes me snore louder than the earlier one and here saliva even drools; sleeping with folded pillow makes me snore louder again here I don’t open my mouth but when I wake up my throat use to be very dry. That means I have snored very hard. Moral of the story: nothing works … at least not for me
My cousin got her doctor to reduce her breast. She begged and begged. A great thing. They found cancer got it all out. Reduced her breast, lost weight then no snoring and shes a side sleeper. But still trying to be a stomache sleeper. She got healthier. Lucky or a miracle
Major problems with some of these positions. Sometimes I lay on my stomach with my head turned to the side for a short time. HOWEVER, I only do that for a short time while I'm awake because it feels great but I've accidentally fallen asleep in this position only to wake up with a sore neck. Not good neck posture. Agreed that it helps with snoring though (as I've been told). Secondly, laying on your back with your head propped up increases snoring for me and a couple people I've talked to. I think it collapses your airway more.
Most people sleep with a pillow under their head though... so are you saying to sleep without a pillow as this guy in video says? But the neck doesn't get any support if the whole body is lying on a flat mattress. I been snoring recently due to tiredness. I have never snored in my 50 years of life until recently.

I wonder if a massage bed would help ( the ones with the hole where your face goes) that way you could. Lie on your front without tilting the head to the side. Has the benefits that gravity would pull the tongue forward and hopefully eliminate snoring. Anyone tried this?
i used to sleep like this but i can longer lay down in bed ,due to fibro pain ,so i sleep in a recliner i snore so bad i wake up every morning with sore throat and dizzy ,
As a Medical therapist, I will never recommend to sleep on your stomach. This is the worst position for your body creating muscle nodes on your traps, unaligned spine which will create low back pain, knee pain etc... Never place a high pillow on your neck, stretching the neck muscles all night will create a head tension among other things.
Is this video a joke? Most docs don't recommend sleeping on your stomach, or with your head so high, closing off your airway. I can see how sleeping flat on your back with either no pillow or a thin pillow could help but not his other ideas.
why is the sitting position bad? I normally sleep sitting. basically cures my sleep apnea. I do put my feet up. But so long as I do that, its pretty comfortable.
Hey Johnson 🙂 Thanks for your comment! Have you already tried to sleep on your back with a pillow, but only under your upper head (as demonstrated in this video)? All the best Hannah from Liebscher & Bracht
Unfortunately, you won't be able to change it. 🙂 But don't worry if you wake up at night and find that you are back in the lateral or prone position. I just posted something about these positions. Sleeping on your stomach with your head turned to the side is a HORRIBLE position for your neck. It'll give you neck problems. And sleeping on your back, especially with your head propped up (as in the last one he showed), actually collapses your airway more. This is garbage.
I unfortunately dont lay in one postion all night i move about. Or so my partner says, who has to endure my loud snoring , thougb she says i also hold my breath. Im trying to find ways to put her out her misery bar sleeping in a separate room 😅

IT'S CLEAR YOU DON'T REALLY HAVE A SNORING PROBLEM AND YOU'RE COMPLETELY GUESSING THAT THESE TECHNIQUES WILL WORK... THEY DON'T. And that you INSIST they DO is proof you've ONLY tried them when you're AWAKE and consciously HOLDING YOUR TONGUE from falling. There are those of us out here with this GENUINE PROBLEM, so it's INFURIATING watching you claiming to be a SPECIALIST and SWEARING all these techniques work when we ALL of us actually SUFFERING know 100% that they DON'T WORK.
Hi. How can I tell if my snoring has improved. My roommate is annoyed with my snoring. So I tried the pillow at my upper head. Don't know if it's working. I think k I am still snoring maybe.
Hi there, thanks for your question! 🙏 Honestly, we don't really know if it's also helpful for your sleep apnea, but you could just give it a try and see for yourself. 🙌🙂 As a precaution, we recommend consulting a doctor whether it's suitable for your individual case. But if your doctor gives you the all-clear, go for it! Please share your experience and result with us - we'd also like to know whether this technique could help with sleep apnea! Best wishes, Hannah from Liebscher & Bracht
It’s just temporary to “undo” the bad posture. Eventually, you should be able to go to a back sleep with no pillow for long term which would be good for the spine. You are not going to need spinal surgery from sleeping in ANY position for a short period of time. Did you finish watching the video or did you just want to criticize something without even trying to understand it?
Yeah. A recommendation to sleep on the stomach with neck bent 90 degrees to the side. Very good for the neck, ain't it? And another poorly explained recommendation not to sleep on the side. Well, It should be exactly the opposite. Do sleep on the side, do not sleep on your stomach.
This is just incorrect for certain people 😑. Sleep apnea runs in my family 6 of my family members have it. Apparently we have small jaws and large tongues hence obstuctive sleep apnea. Using a mouthpiece that moves your jaw forward works.
Sleeping on my stomach just makes my snoring echo in the bed and walls and drives my wife even more nuts. I like to sleep on my back and my wife thinks when I’m propped up I snore less ...I gotta find a way to quit snoring or we’re gonna end up sleeping in different rooms. I’ve been smoking for 12 years and reluctant to quit. I know I need to quit, but I honestly don’t think that’s gonna make my snoring go away. My dad quit smoking almost a decade ago and he has the loudest snore I have ever heard he also has sleep apnea. Am I doomed?

Yes.
Can you make a video on how to fall asleep fast
Hi Sashi! 🙂
Thanks for your comment! Here is a video with a great stretching routine that you can do every day before going to bed to fall asleep better. 👉🙂 ua-cam.com/video/Ga8e5ZCHkP0/v-deo.html Give it a try and let us know how it helps you! We look forward to hearing from you!
Best wishes,

How about starting off in the right position, but unnnconsciously change when you are fast asleep?
Yeabro this guy is mad
Thank you for the info.
You have added your voice later after edit the video am I right
Is there any medication to cure snoring
Is this video a joke? Most docs don't recommend sleeping on your stomach, or with your head so high, closing off your airway. I can see how sleeping flat on your back with either no pillow or a thin pillow could help but not his other ideas.
why is the sitting position bad? I normally sleep sitting. basically cures my sleep apnea. I do put my feet up. But so long as I do that, its pretty comfortable.
When I have a nap, I nap sitting up with large pillow behind my head. Not sure if this is ok, but feels ok.
I sleep on my stomach and I still snore and my roommate is pissed.so what position should I try ?
Hey Johnson 🙂
Thanks for your comment! Have you already tried to sleep on your back with a pillow, but only under your upper head (as demonstrated in this video)?
All the best

@@Liebscher.Bracht_EN yes...but I change position without knowing while at sleep..then the snoring comes back
Unfortunately, you won't be able to change it. 🙂 But don't worry if you wake up at night and find that you are back in the lateral or prone position. Just straighten your back again, stretch your legs, and go back to sleep. Please find further tips and instructions for a pain-free and healthy sleep here. 👉 lie-br.com/yt-cm3-backpainsleep

@@TheJohnsonjoseph exactly, someone must surely change position without knowing.
@@Liebscher.Bracht_EN un fortunately they won't be able to change what? In your video you just said this changes snoring
How many times you will repeat tongue falls back
Looking this up Kause I’m tryn find a solution before it be a dealbreaker with my gf 🙃
Question if I sleep in the position at 1:47 with my head on a pillow is that okay also?
It goin to start a bike ride to increase lung capacity lose weight and start singing more ❤️ why not !!!!
Sleeping on your stomach is not recommended. Causes back strain. Best thing to do is get a sleep study done.
When I lie on my stomach my body goes numb or I end up with lower back pain
Not working for me and in fact, it was getting worse and heavy snoring became longer.
I just posted something about these positions. Sleeping on your stomach with your head turned to the side is a HORRIBLE position for your neck. It'll give you neck problems. And sleeping on your back, especially with your head propped up (as in the last one he showed), actually collapses your airway more. This is garbage.
going to try the no pillow tonight!!!
I unfortunately dont lay in one postion all night i move about. Or so my partner says, who has to endure my loud snoring , thougb she says i also hold my breath. Im trying to find ways to put her out her misery bar sleeping in a separate room 😅
I would need neck surgery after trying to sleep like that.
Why? 🤔😞
@@Liebscher.Bracht_EN
Because I have degeneration in my neck, have already had 2 back fusion surgeries. Sleeping on my back would never work, and I need my neck supported.
Thanks for getting back to us! Would it be possible for you to sleep on your stomach? 🙂 This is our recommended sleeping position right after sleeping on your back. 🤗 Please learn more about it in our sleeping guide providing further tips and instructions for a pain-free and healthy sleep. 👉 lie-br.com/yt-cm3-backpainsleep

I snore in all of those positions. Not kidding
Terrible sleeping positions shown in this video that can lead to serious neck pain. I’d rather snore than deal with neck pain and shoulder pain.
What if you’re pregnant 😢😢 can’t sleep with fist belly
Hi. How can I tell if my snoring has improved. My roommate is annoyed with my snoring. So I tried the pillow at my upper head. Don't know if it's working. I think k I am still snoring maybe.
Usually, this tip helps improve snoring, but why don't you ask your roommate whether you're still snoring? 🙂
@@Liebscher.Bracht_EN so far so good. I was doing the lay down and my tai chi teacher said it is similar to chi. Thanks

Will this technique also help sleep apnea?
Hi there,
thanks for your question!
Best wishes,
Hannah from Liebscher & Bracht
No one sleeps in the same position during the night. Not helpful at all.
I would, honestly.. but İ always roll around and move
I used to sleep on my stomach like that growing up. I snored even worse than I do on my back or side now. Lol!!!
I sleep backward like that and i woke in different posisition i cant control my position on sleep...
Snoring is the reason why i don't go for sleep overs ....i don't know ..
Sehr gutes Video
Vielen Dank! 🙏❤ Do you have problems with snoring?
@@Liebscher.Bracht_EN ja unfortunately I do
Then better try our simple yet effective trick in this video to stop snoring. 🙂👆
I tried this all but there is no solution
I don't get any reduce
I sure hope you have a great spine surgeon cause sleeping on your back with your head over-elevated is horrible... don't do this ever.
Impossible to relax like this
Why? 🤔
Impossible to stay in those positions all night
Yeah. A recommendation to sleep on the stomach with neck bent 90 degrees to the side. Very good for the neck, ain't it? And another poorly explained recommendation not to sleep on the side.
Well, It should be exactly the opposite. Do sleep on the side, do not sleep on your stomach.
However, sleeping always on the same side can change the curvature of the spine, so changing sides now and then is recommended
This is just incorrect for certain people 😑. Sleep apnea runs in my family 6 of my family members have it. Apparently we have small jaws and large tongues hence obstuctive sleep apnea. Using a mouthpiece that moves your jaw forward works.
So after a period of elevating your head you don’t snore even if you remove your pillow???
Sleeping on my stomach just makes my snoring echo in the bed and walls and drives my wife even more nuts. I like to sleep on my back and my wife thinks when I’m propped up I snore less ...I gotta find a way to quit snoring or we’re gonna end up sleeping in different rooms. I’ve been smoking for 12 years and reluctant to quit. I know I need to quit, but I honestly don’t think that’s gonna make my snoring go away. My dad quit smoking almost a decade ago and he has the loudest snore I have ever heard he also has sleep apnea. Am I doomed?
SO MANY VIDEOS SAY THIS STOMACH SLEEPING POSITION IS THE WORST
Thank you ❤️ for a wonderful information 🙂, it's working 🙏
