The thunderbolt siren is a discontinued siren by Federal signal corporation, it had three variants; the 1000 model, the 1000T model and the 1003 model. The 1000 model was single tone, while the 1000T and 1003 models were dual tone, the 1003 model had two solenoid-valved "shutters" on the troath of the horn, which could help it make Hilo, alternate wail and Pulse, or else it is just identical as the 1000T. The 1003 was the last version made, with the last units being sended toca town in Michigan, now all replaced. The 2000 model was the earliest thunderbolt, it was the same as the 1000 model, except for its blower was replaced with a gasoline driven blower. Many 2000 models have been refurbished and replaced with electrical blowers, one 2000 model still stands in LA, along with its systeam, it is the only gasoline-driven 2000 model. At a certain point the blower was changed to petrol.
