" in a hot air balloon corrinado flies over the sea, for leora today, and in one day he went from his cell to the sky, at his last chance to fly" Such a warm lyric. One of my favorite things the biscuits do. Anytime they sing that part repeatedly at the end of hab you get that warm/celebratory/victorious feeling. Only band in the world I get that from and I listen to a lot of music. It's the music they play when the angels open up the gates of heaven. Best.Band.Ever.
If it's been a while, check out the -> HAB ending from 05/19/18. Barber sings that section with a lot of inspiration! im getting cold chills just thinking about it.
Possibly the best show I've ever seen. Out of 70+ biscuits shows I always enjoyed this and starscape 07 over some of the great shows I saw from 06-09. These were the days. Summer > fall 07 was great. Dosed to the 9s. Anyone ever feel like they kind of threw a littl Abraxas tease/jam into the jam out of inverted Buddha back into hab. I personally feel like I've witnessed the two best 2.0 Buddha if not best ever (10/26/07 & 04/20/09)
@@ecp6490 all of October and into November was epic. full HAB on 10/31, 11/1 at the Palace (my favorite show of the run), House of Blues, the Ballroom in Buffalo (pretty darn good). they were playing so many shows in 07 they were locked in most of the year. My favorite show of the year was 02/17, it may not be the best musically (though it is rather impeccable), but I was in the perfect state of mind with a bunch of great friends and someone passed me a spliff which I suspect had some deemz in it cause I was soaring during the DTTB>Gangster>DTTB encore
Matthew Karas such a shame I don’t think I caught more than camp, New Years run, and a small handful of others in 07. Was so incredibly balls deep with schoolwork during those years. Plus was *still* in an unsettled state of shock at Sammy’s departure and the massive and rapid evolution they were undergoing with Allen, I hadn’t yet begun to fully appreciate the brilliance they were putting forth and just how special of a band they have always been and always will be. First show 4/11/02. Somehow after 17 years and about 120 shows later, they’re still amazing me more and more everyday.
I mean the HAB>Buddha is absurd. Completely nasty low down dirty Biscuits. Starting around 38 minutes it becomes the soundtrack of machine elves being born. And the segue back into HAB....sheeeeit.
So damn good
