It extends to where the denture base will extend too. Since the denture does not extend to full vestibular depth, because of the possibility of gingival irritation, then so does not the lattice work.
The metal part between the major connector and the rest of the denture, that is what is known as the minor connector. I advice you to wstch the video once again and look at the arrows. You can also watch my video on Major connectors for more better understanding of the differences. Thank you :)
