I lived in Longview Washington with Longview Fibre Papermill. The whole Town smelled bad. I remember you couldn't paint your house white because in 3 months it wouldn't be white anymore. I knew someone who worked there long ago talking about dumping oil drums filled with toxic stuff. That was turned into a landfill & then a housing development. It was some pink sludge that ripped the bark off trees. The only reason they stopped I heard from the same person, they sold it to make up companies. And from the way he told me the story I didn't get any remote feeling that it was a legal dump or disposing the chemicals safely.

I Live in Vermont, have lived in the same house my whole life and right up the street, not even 1/4 mile is a company called OMYA. They manufacture slurry and pigment that goes into paint and all sorts of other things. they always have the steam or whatever it is coming out of the smokestacks. I have questioned the air and water quality for years and the state always reassures me that it is "safe" I always smell formaldehyde in the air along with other nasty smells, The pond that is across the street from my house always has a white film on top of it! These big companies just do not care! I have had many pets over the years and every one of them has passed from cancer. My grandpa worked there and retired from there and he ended up with cancer right before his retirement! I have chronic kidney disease, just makes ya wonder!! I need to move! I really feel for that woman. I know how she feels!

I Live in Vermont, have lived in the same house my whole life and right up the street, not even 1/4 mile is a company called OMYA. They manufacture slurry and pigment that goes into paint and all sorts of other things. they always have the steam or whatever it is coming out of the smokestacks. I have questioned the air and water quality for years and the state always reassures me that it is "safe" I always smell formaldehyde in the air along with other nasty smells, The pond that is across the street from my house always has a white film on top of it! These big companies just do not care! I have had many pets over the years and every one of them has passed from cancer. My grandpa worked there and retired from there and he ended up with cancer right before his retirement! I have chronic kidney disease, just makes ya wonder!! I need to move! I really feel for that woman. I know how she feels!
