Caramelized Onion Kugel

We've all heard of potato kugel, but have you ever tried onion kugel? Yussi Weisz is showing us his tips and tricks on how to make this sweet and savory kugel. Once you try it, you'll be making it every Shabbos!

2 Spanish onions, diced
1 white onion, diced
1 Vidalia onion, diced
12 to 14 pearl onions (see note)
1 cup oil
1 tablespoon salt
3/4 tablespoon gourmet black pepper
3 tablespoons brown sugar

Make the easiest dough yourself: Just mix together 3 cups flour, 3 quarters of a cup of both oil and hot water, and 1 teaspoon salt. Mix together to form a smooth dough. Makes enough dough for 2 onion kugel rolls. Try adding some diced peppers to the onions. Comes out delicious. Thank you!!
