As a Malaysian, I can proudly say that our planes have interdimensional teleportation technology. It's prolly why they keep disappearing.
EDIT: For God's sakes. I am Malaysian. I don't know why nobody trusts me. Is it really that hard to believe that a Southeast Asian can be popular for once?

And yeah the Helios Flight 522 is probably the most unnerving and scary plain crash history ever, once you realize that, most likely, there was 1 man alive (by using emergency oxygen bottles) but unable to communicate during almost the entire flight surrounded by more than 100 dead people for hours, until he realized the plain would eventually run out of fuel and crash.

Two of the absolute best are Jon Bois and Montemayor. Jon Bois' ability to tell a story is in a class of its own and even for topics that are about as far removed as is humanly possible from what normally interests me I've watched many of his videos a dozen times over. Montemayor as of his series on WW2 is "merely'" about as good as LEMMiNO, which is still superb and I've watched his stuff multiple times.

I’m almost 100% convinced it was a slow hypoxia event. That would explain the initial deviation from the flight path, as the early stages of hypoxia would disorient and confuse the cabin crew. Once the event got to the point where the crew and passengers were rendered unconscious, autopilot kept it on that final long heading until the engines flamed out due to fuel exhaustion, and the aircraft entered a spiral, hitting the ocean slowly thereafter.

Xtensioncord TV Wait, it’s been a while. Did the plane drop that much and then level? Even if that were the case, hypoxia might explain the reasoning behind the pilot dropping that much. Hypoxia induces lapses in judgment which we might call insanity.

When I was flying to Ireland we went over the Atlantic Ocean. The headrest had TV's build into the backs of them so passengers could listen to music, watch a movie, etc. But it had an option to view the GPS grid of the plane location. I opened it and noticed only blue around us. I zoomed out, dragging my finger tens and tens of times. I stretched the map out as far as it could go, and it was nothing but ocean. All I could think was " If something goes wrong the Pilot better put the nose down and kill us on impact, because I don't want to float around in these frigid shark infested waters "

Fun fact: it was recently proven that MA370 was hijacked by either a very skilled passenger, or one of the pilots. When the SATCOM Was disabled, logs showed that between being fully operational (FO) and not operational (NO), it was briefly in a state called 'Half-operational (HO)' On the control panel, HO was between FO and NO, explaining the transponders briefly being in the HO state, Which could not have happened when they SATCOM transponders ceased to function by themselves. (i might have messed up satcom with something else but i mean the thingys that transmit location, altitude and speed to ATC)

Avionics technician here. Yes, planes can fly themselves and even land themselves depending on the model. However, it does require some input from humans as far as heading, altitude, airspeed, etc. But it will adjust flight surfaces accordingly to maintain the variables it was last given. A Boeing 777 for example has an "autoland" feature that uses the airports localizer to land safely. It is carefully monitored by the pilot to make sure it doesn't have a malfunction. This is a very good feature though because in the case, somehow, both pilot and copilot aren't capable of flying a passenger could be walked through the necessary inputs to use autoland to get on the ground safely. Much much better odds than someone who's never flown a plane being walked through a _crash_ course by ATC and most likely killing everyone on board even without a crosswind.

Yes a predetermined fly path is used in the autopilot so it can fly itself to its destination but unless certain changes are made to the autopilot it will not land itself and fly in a holding pattern until fuel exhaustion. But if tuned correctly before landing a plane like a 777 can land by itself using autopilot.

My dad has been a pilot for 25 years and he thinks that first of all, there isn’t enough info to definitely know what happened, but in his opinion, it seems likely that the pilot hijacked it. He said the reason is because it could have been his was of making a political statement or something of the such. Again without all the info, it’s hard to know

    • @thenameless7810

I think if the pilot were trying to make a political statement he would have pick places to crash that is significant to him, and that he would have left a death message expressing his views. The polices have no evidence of premeditation from the two pilots except for that flight simulator history but it did not proves anything. My theory is that it is a form of highjacking that went wrong with the pilot being held hostage force to follow instructions from these people and for some reason the pilot decided to crash the plane in the sea to prevent and reduce damage and loss of life, almost like 9/11.

(the people who shot the rocket said it wasn't sent directly towards the plane, because it exploded on top of the cockpit and when it did it sent several pieces blasting through the alloy of the plane, which of course led to an explosion of the entire plane) It was hit by a SAM rocket of the pro-russian separatists in 2014, several months or so after the disappearence of flight 370... I believe the authors meant that the Pilot captain is the one who hijacked the flight in order to commit murder suicide. It's a weird phrasing but still falls under hijacking. There were no demands because he wanted to die. It's possible he did try to make demands to the Malaysian government to get his job back (he had just been fired) and money (he had lost his entire life savings on the stock market) but the Americans leaned heavily on the Malaysian government to get to the bottom of this (Obama and other high ranking officials even went there personally) and they still deny it.

The plane crashed at water depth as deep as 28,000 FT meaning it would basically be impossible to find the plane that deep in the water.
