Unfortunately radio won’t play it though because of the one line that says “I wish country music still played on the radio”. But it can still be successful without airplay. I love it
My grandfather died on 12-27-2017. There's no amount of dirt on this earth that could fill the hole in my heart when he left this world. He was my everything. I didn't have a real father, and he filled that role. He taught me how to fish, hunt, mow, chainsaw, fix cars, golf, camp, shoot guns, ride horses and most importantly how to be a man, and what that means. That man made me who I am today, and pop if you're out there listening I love you and miss you so damn much. I'm doing what I can for mawmaw. We think of you everyday, all day. I hate that cancer took you away from us. I want you to know you left your fingerprints on all of us, especially me. Rest easy pawpaw
Wow! I couldn’t hardly read this because I couldn’t stop crying. I too lost my papaw a few years back and he was my everything. I grew up without a dad and he stepped up and took that role and made me the man I am today! Thank you for sharing this and God bless!
This is the best song I've heard in a while . It's got that rare quality that makes you cry yet feel good deep inside at the same time. Gives you that goose bump feeling . It's what makes me love country music
just saw riley green on brad paisleys tour in saratoga springs & when my mom & i walked in to the venue & sat in our seats this was the first song we heard..my grandpa (her dad) just passed away 3 weeks ago today after a short but tough battle with stage 4 lung cancer. our hearts are shattered knowing he’s gone now but he’ll always be in our hearts. such a great song. i love you pops❤️
My grandpa was diagnosed with brain cancer and I can tell he’s getting sicker day by day. I don’t know how much time I have left with him but he’s my one true hero in my life. An Angel on Earth who has touched so many lives. All I can do is pray he’s with us as long as he can keep going on.
My grandpa passed away last week. His funeral is tomorrow morning. I haven’t heard a song that has made me cry in awhile. I’m not a huge country fan myself, but this one of my new favorites. Thank you.
This song was uploaded on my dad’s birthday and hope he never dies as he’s my hero as well as my 5 kids hero. Awesome song this song should be playing on the radio 2-3 times an hour. Love it. Real country music.
I’m not cryin- you’re cryin. I wish my grandpa’s were here, and that my daddy was here to see my grand babies, his great grand babies!!! Beautiful, from the heart, I felt every word!!
Just listening to a few of Riley greens songs and wow! What amazing song writing and singing too just love what this guy is about You feel like you know him through his music
"HELL YEAAAAH" DUDE IS LIT. Great song!!! I wish Sundays on a creek bank would never end, wish I could learn to drive again...holy shit man..cold chills
5/30/2008 - The day my grandpa died. My high school graduation day. I’ll never forget what that man did for me. He WAS my father because mine wasn’t around. Taught me how to shave, how to mow the lawn, how to drive....I wouldn’t be who I am without you, grandpa. Thank you. For everything.
This song hits you right in the heart. I lost my paw paw a few years back and this song makes me think about him and it brings tears to my eyes. This is an amazing song and it needs to be a single soon. Its crazy how Riley Green started out in birmingham alabama. He is such an inspiration to cuntry fans everywhere. Him and Luke Combs both
My grandfather passed in ‘03. I’m almost 26 now and I remember every day I had with that great man. He showed me a lot about how to be the man I am now and I wish he was still here to see his great great son. Love you pawpaw
WOW! I don't want to admit I've got a tear in my eye over this, but I do. I miss my grandparents more than anyone will ever know. I'd give almost anything to have mine back, even just for a day.
This song kept on coming up on my feed and it was frustrating me because I've never heard of him. I thought maybe if I listen it will go away. Now I'm a fan. This song was great. Thanks for sharing.
My best friend's grandpa surprisingly died yesterday. I had gone with my best friend on several road trips to visit him. Grandpa Dave treated me like family. I never got to experience my biological grandfathers so having someone love me like a grandson even though I wasn't blood is something I'll never forget. So many memories made on those road trips. RIP grandpa Dave.
I said the same thing when this guy played give that man a beer you can feel it when the person singing it feels it and that's what it's all about plus it don't hurt when it's an original song. Good ole boys are still alive!
I listened to this for the first time on May 14th. That was the day my grandpa passed away back in 2015. I couldn’t have asked for a better song to find.
I’m blessed, my grandparents are still in my life. I love this song. I can feel every word. the part of 17, high school home teams, backroad drinkin kids. this is my life right now. as a almost senior in HS.
I just lost my Daddy last September, to Pancreatic Cancer. He'd have loved this song. I wish Grandpas never died, because seeing my kid miss my dad, makes missing him harder.
Love this song so much. I grew up holding on to my granddaddy's overalls and this reminds me so much of him. Everything in this song takes me back to raising. This simply, blessed me.
Really sucks that country radio plays Thomas Rhett, Sam hunt, and Florida Georgia line over guys like Riley Green and Tyler Childers. Blows my mind really
Uncle Cock they need to find a balance too much of something is never good. Florida Georgia Line has some bangers. And Thomas Rhett has some great love songs. But I agree Riley green and Luke combs are saving country music.
They should play some Cody jinks to. Why I never listen to radio I always play pandora. A bunch of bullshit on the radio with the exception of a few songs
I've never heard of Riley Green until I was scrolling through UA-cam videos of Jamey Johnson and Chris Stapleton music. To me that is country music. Not this hip hop country shit that is being played on the radio.
My grandpa is 95 still works served in Korea lived through the depression grew up unable to drink milk I have pictures of the old family road tripping to the farm in Iowa with a goat literally tied to the side of a an old goes model t so he could have the milk he needed that man is the hardest most kindest all around balanced person I know if it wasn't for his good influence all the bad things I've been through would be just that bad but he makes them all lessons... I once heard a quote that says if you impact enough people it will seem as though you've lived here for a million years he really demonstrates that even when he passes he won't die I'll carry it on
Now that the song is finally here. How does everyone feel about the studio cut?
I love it just the same, the steel guitar adds to the feel
Love it
I love it. It’s very close to the original with better quality. The steel guitar compliments it perfect
Hard to beat the live acustic version but I think the studio version is just as good 🍻
I feel like there’s more heart and soul in this version.
Better be a single. Real country fans will take it to the top!
Trevor Olson we can do it UA-cam we got beer never broke my heart released
Unfortunately radio won’t play it though because of the one line that says “I wish country music still played on the radio”. But it can still be successful without airplay. I love it
Only county singer i been listenen to brother
Unc
Fernando Alexander missing out on Cody Johnson...
Love this! Good country music you don't hear on the radio. Tired of the same old drink beer get women on the radio, need more of this.

He's with you everyday man.
KevinKnox Playlist same with me my dad was always on drugs. So he played my dads role and he died from a massive heart attack and it killed me
Wow! I couldn’t hardly read this because I couldn’t stop crying. I too lost my papaw a few years back and he was my everything. I grew up without a dad and he stepped up and took that role and made me the man I am today! Thank you for sharing this and God bless!
He hears ya....
I’m convinced him, Luke combs, Tyler Childers and a few others are gonna hands down resurrect country music again. Good shit!

Real country music making a come back right here wish they’d play with on the radio
Imagine If Riley,Luke Combs and Cody Johnson went on a tour together.
Unimportant Gaming I’d go to that
Unimportant Gaming shut up and take my money

There is no amount of money I would not pay to attend that
🤯
