I'm fourteen, and my parents work a lot, so I don't go to church. It's a little disappointing because I feel like it would help to strengthen my relationship with God, but I know when I get older it will deffinetly be something I do regularly. Thanks for the video!!!
Keira Paul maybe find one or two people that follow Jesus together and that can be a church (believer meeting together)! Or try to find a mentor/someone to disciple you in a personal setting since God made community so we can encourage one another in the difficulty. If you can! Also I'd encourage you to worship and sing praises in addition to reading the Bible/prayer/online!
My conversation with my mom this morning. Me- Where are the hello dollies. Mom- I threw them away I burned them but Allison made some wonderful cookies. (Knowing I will have nothing to do with her) Me- I don't want anything allison made. You know this. Mom- We talked to Braelyn yesterday. She's sick. I walked out of the room. Why. I haven't spoken to my child since 2017 and I had to go thru my mother and sister in law to do it.
By the definition I concluded that, the word disciple and apostle means called out and send out ones. It has a close relation to the definition of the church. It means that as Christians we are really called to move and be active to our faith. It doesnt stop by going to church, it starts when we actively express what we believe in. Christlikeness.
"and mediocre coffee..." *DRAMATIC GASP* he has insulted the coffee!!! ~ I enjoyed this video a lot to understand truly what church truly is. I hope i can further more understand things in faith as i journy on in life. Keep up the great work Jon and God bless
My granddad is a priest but he's one of those priests who doesn't like Catholics and other types of churchs. I don't like how he hates people who believe the same thing as him but don't agree with what he believes in
I agree with what your saying, good stuff! I believe that a lot of the church and body of christ agrees that the big picture of this all is for all of us to play our unique role and assignment in bringing the Kingdom to Earth. I think the old mindsets/assumptions of what church is actually is keeping the body of christ in bondage though. People are not going into their unique assignments like the bible teaches us. If it is true that when we meet on Sunday morning it is just like any other meeting, why is it we treat it like otherwise? The "typical sunday meeting" originated with the catholic church people would go meet with the priest to get "clean" and get "salvation". We as a the church has matured and devolved from that point and I do not understand why we use the same ministry template with completly different views and doctrine. NEW REVELATION REQUIRES NEW STRUCTURES. I am all for meeting do not get me wrong but when the meetings get in way of the big picture of the kingdom, we have a problem. The time money energy we put into our programs, events and services gives of this false sense of religious accomplishment. Everyone is focused on this institution, and it is not the most effective way of furthering the gospel. The entire economy of the church is based on these little meetings we have and around a person we call a Pastor. And the word Pastor is used 2 times in the bible with no context. The earth is eagerly waitng for the sons and daughters of God to be reviled. It is time for us to to wake up and step into the new season God has for us. Just some thoughts....... Thanks!
The actual word church has nothing to do directly with God. If you notice he keeps saying biblical church because you have to have a word that describes what kind of church (assembly) it is. Like the word game. You can't just say I'm going to a game but you have to say a football game, basketball game, or baseball game. This is clear because the word church (ekklesia) is used in the actual Bible where it's been translated to assembly or group. For instance, the people who killed Stephen were described as an ekklesia but the translators didn't use the word church. All in all, you don't have to go to a building to worship God because if you are at a house with two believers discussing and learning about God and praying or praising Him you're a biblical church. Many churches use the scripture forsake not the assembling of yourselves together as an excuse for why it had been mandated you go to a church building in a specific day or days for some but the Bible never says when to assemble, where to assemble, or how many needed to assemble though it does state if there be two or three gathered in my Name then I will be in the midst (I didn't quote in verbatim). The word church has been given too me much emphasis when what kind of church would be the true emphasis. One you realize what kind of church then the actual function of the church is clear. And when your see the actual function you'll see it actually goes against the function of the modern day church. The great falling away isn't people leaving the church but the actual church leaving the foundational principles that we originally established by the first followers of Christ.
I just want you to know that everything you said is what i believe as well and have told people in the the past. Thank you brother for speaking the truth!
I used to be a devoted christian who is always on church but then when u entered and joined the worship team i feel like i don't belong there because I feel like I'm always out of place and people actually dint care about me. Even my cousin who is also a part of the music ministry i feel so sad about it but i don't want to feel un belong
I am so sorry that you feel that way but always remember that Colossians 3:23 says, "Work willingly at whatever you do, as though you were working for the Lord rather than for people." (NLT) Be Blessed!
God sees you. Some people may not notice your efforts at first, but God does, and he loves you. Keep on working, because the harvest is near, and then you will reap a blessing!
My church is different than most churches were penecostal so during services when they sing we get up and run around the aisles and dance and scream and shout and we get filled with the holy ghost and speak in utter tongues and we baptize to I luv my church every time I go I get an encounter with god and an experience with god and Er have youth group that does sign language songs and then we have the group older group were they sing and worship
Yes, Catholicism is one of many denominations under the umbrella that is Christianity. This means all Catholics are also Christians. Catholicism is also the denomination that has been around the longest. This shouldn't be controversial, it's just the historical fact regardless of personal belief.
Rachel J. Oh, thank you for clearing that up:) The reason why I was asking the question is because I've seen people who say that Catholics aren't Christian because they "worship Mary" and etc.. Then, I also see that they believe in Jesus, so my mind was kind of confused on what to believe.
As a devout Catholic myself, allow me to shed light on something which is a common misconception. We do not worship Mary or any of the other Saints. We pray with them, not to them. We also humbly ask that they pray for us. We never claim that they have some kind of divine power, we merely acknowledge that they are in heaven and therefore have a more direct line to God. We also look to them for inspiration for how to be a good Christians given that they are canonized (meaning they are officially recognized by the Church to be in heaven). That doesn't mean we think they're perfect, only that somehow they found God showing us that we can too. The reason a lot of us tend to ask Mary to pray for us a bit more often is because she is literally Jesus's mother who we believe led a perfect life on Earth as a virgin and sinless mother.
You blue hairs in the church need to be paying attention. I'm not being disrespectful. I'm telling you. This ain't what you think. I never fell. I followed.
Jesus Christ only founded one Church. The Catholic Church. Catholic means universal. Read your Bibles. Matthew 16:18 and where is Peters Bones? The man who was the first Pope, who holds the keys of heaven. What he binds on earth, shall be bound in Heaven. The Pope is infallible. His bones are directly under, St. Peters Basilica, the Vatican, the head quarters of the Catholic Church. Where the pope lives. Have a problem with obedience or authority? (Qualities Christ holds in the highest regards)....fine then at least turn to John 6:66...yes notice the "666".....what verse is that? It's when the crowds left our Lord over his difficult teaching that his flesh is true food and his blood is true drink. Where are you able to receive Jesus Christ truly present in the Blessed Sacrament of the Altar? In the Catholic Church, from the succession of priests from Peter himself. Come home to the Catholic Church brothers and sisters....but find yourself a Latin Mass and be blown away from a liturgy drenched in scripture.

I love this! My church, your church, it's all little parts of His church!
Nice! What makes us Christians is that we believe, trust, and have faith in Jesus Christ as our Lord and savior! God bless and much love!

I liked the video! Do you think you could do a video explaining the God paradox? (Can god create a mountain so heavy that he can't lift it?)

Are Catholics actually Christians? It's a very controversial topic in my opinion. This is a question that I've had for a while.

Rachel J. Wait, that got me confused. They are Christians or aren't...?

You need to know the truth about these nazis.
You blue hairs in the church need to be paying attention. I'm not being disrespectful. I'm telling you. This ain't what you think. I never fell. I followed.
You wanna know why your prayers aren't being answered. You're crucifying Christ.

It's a lie Catholic organizational church was never founded by Jesus
