The hardest part is getting rid of it before the rain make it heavier. Heavy volcanic ash turn into mud and make the roof collapse.
Lahar
If im not wrong the volcanic ash can actually creat concrete because volcanic ash has all the minerals in it to make concrete soo yeah one it hardens it turns into concrete or hardens to look like concrete
You know ayuk instead of throwing it away the people could use volcanic ash to make concrete to repair the damaged buildings a more greener way to make concrete😉
I never thought of that thank you.
True! Back in 2010 the front canopy structure of our house collapsed during Merapi volcano big eruption. It was during rainy season and that night it was raining. So what came down as not ash fall, but more like mud fall/rain so it loaded our roof. Fortunately no one got injured in our family and the roof is sturdy enough to withstand the mud. The evacuation was hard because it was past midnight, no electricity so the road became dark and very slippery due to the thick mud covering the asphalt.
... take safe indonesia and your family "FROM PHILIPPINES" we support you and we love you.
Thank you
On The bright side if they collect the ash and use it on their crops they will get a amazing harvest. Hope they are all ok.
@Vigilantay19 yeah, the ash contains dozens of minerals including magnesium, calcium, sodium, sulfur, copper, iron and zinc; all important to plant growth.
i think it depends on the plant. ash increases soil acidity which some plants like, but others don't
@@geepadoodle All plants thrive in acidic soil, not just some.
@@LucasMartin-im5ub not true, what about alkaline plants?
@@geepadoodle That fraction of a % of plants you mention merely adapted to tolerate such extreme conditions, but they can still survive fine in a slightly acidic soil like all the rest. It's better for nutrient absorption among several reasons.
I hope no one hurt and all locals there stay safe.....
Volcano is both a blessing and a curse at the same time
A blessing of volcano is creating new one that comes from mother nature and the curse is the old ones may gone but unforgotten
unless you know how to deal with it then only a blessing
Why don't they gather it and sell it? I heard that volcanic ash is a wonderful fertilizer and it's rich in nutrients. It could be used for profit though I don't know too much about it.
! ! WAKE UP ! New world order is here ! illuminati = Real / Christ = Real ! End time prophecies = Real ! Share & watch my exposing vids :)
I heard they need at least 5 years to become fertile.
when u have too much of something, sometimes you really want to get rid of it
they don't need to sell it as fertilizer, since all their farmlands were full of ash anyway
As far as I know, the volcanic ash need to be treated with some chemical before it can be use as fertilizer.
The question is who will buy such a massive amount of volcanic ash ? Furthermore, the ash need to be get rid as soon as possible to prevent the ash being inhaled by peoples and cause inflammation.
Who's gonna buy it if everyone have it?
Be safe. I pray you will be compensated better for your losses.
Not really. Because they far away from capital city
I know this is horrible snd you cant play with it but when they scoop the ashes, ut looks so satisfying
Nope , like a gold for farmer in indonesia
Hope everyone there be safe,
-from Java, Indonesia
At least everybody's got face masks already, for COVID, which are now useful as well for volcanic ash.
How convenient
Stay strong indonesians from the Philippines 🇵🇭. We always targeted by these volcanic eruptions and we remain strong through all these times. Right now, at least 4 volcanoes is on unrest in the Philippines and one of them have a potential to erupt. Be safe out there!
Hope u guys are all safe.... love from London
earth quake hit new Zealand , ring of fire is very active rn .
yeah
I am indonesian but I dont live in indonesia so I hope indonesia will be safe from tsunami's,earthquake's, volcanic eruption and even Covid-19
the volcano here in philippines that spew ash on january 12 2020, the ash hardened and is stronger than rock, thats alot of ash that will harden
March 3rd????!!! I didn’t know about that. Indonesia is like near our country
I live in North Sumatera and I don't even know Sinabung erupt again, our local news only delivered political bs
@@zeddyline maybe because indonesia always has many natural disaster and people just chill
Im from java, and frankly i didn't know it erupts again, currently we're having natural disaster back to back, hope this will end soon
flood and eruption everywhere, 2021 is pretty much worse than 2020 for us

I remember the Taal i was in Calamba Laguna January 12, 2020
I am still 17 now but i have experience this more than 10 Times ..when u go outside its really hard to breathe ur mouth feels dry .and ur eyes hurt.and many more
Because in Indonesia there is a lot of volcano ,my city is literally surounded by 4 active mountain that can esxplode / erupt anytime.
Hope no one was hurt
@A M from his video explaining why he is everywhere, no
The lava, magma, and eruptions may be tamed only temporarily of course yeah
My village ❤️
I remember it all started since in the Philippne Febuary 2020, Taal Volcano erupted Long time ago...
Meanwhile it's just a yearly occurrence in Mayon volcano
Wow, thanks for the info, it's far away from where I live, but anyways thx for the info
I respect how the community chips in. They take care of their home. Where i live everyone just expects someone else to do it. They'll complain if it's not done, but won't get up and actually do something about it
That's messed up, unless you're crippled, you should do your part. We won't help someone who won't help themselves here.
And where did they stay during the eruption of the volcano?
They either go to a refugee camp setup by the military or stay cleaning up the village. Most go to refugee camp where the governmnet and military provide them rations but that itself is lacking not because of low supply but due to lack of infastructure. Every year there's always natural disasters in Indonesia like earthquakes, tsunamis, and eruptions which are very common.
Many people still at home cleaning

Be strong...food and water.
Is the ash even safe? Scary to think they'd suffer basic burns because of the pH of the ash. 😭😱 Thoughts and prayers for the people affected.
Ive heard valcanic ash is actually usefull in lots of products...
I remember when I was still a kid, in the morning just when I'm about go to school I opened the door and was very surprised that there's a very thick fog and ashes in the streets I have no clue what caused it though, but after I came home and watch TV that's when I found out that's it's a volcanic eruption..
They are about to have an awesome next grow season
Fertile soil straight from the earth, no need fertilizer
Hope no one hurts in there
Me as an indo it hurts see my people like this
Wow that’s so much ash!!!
what a beauty
North Sumatra - neverending summer province
What? I live in North Sumatra and it's not 'neverending'.
is it poisonous?
Now its fertile af
It would be alot of work to get rid of all the ash...
If this happens in African then all starts to move to Europe but asian they still love their land even though there is ashes they try to remove it and make their life easier,, see the difference between Asian and African
earthquakes and volcanoes eruption,, the ring of fire has been very active lately.. stay safe everyone and stay healthy..
Watching this video makes me want to sneeze
They were lucky they didn't get cooked by the hot ash
Please don't worry too much, i've experienced this 2 times in the past decade, just the usual expected occurence in indonesia, oh and the masks is also because at this stage it's fine enough to damage your lungs after a certain exposure, but this is pretty normal, very high likelyhood there won't be any death because of an eruption due to safety measures, the losses are probably animals and homes near the volcano, but all this is fine
yup
I live in Indonesia but i don't even know that Sinabung erupts again
Sama
It's been almost 10 years since the first eruption and the mount keep eruption at least twice a month. And this news is not interesting anymore since it happened not in java.
Thats the same thing that the mt taal in the philippines
Another normal week in volcano area
in this situation china rain maker missale should be usefull causing rain to reduce and wash off those dust
Me: *gets flashbacks on the same thing that happened in Philippines*
When they try to wash it away like that it only gets mucky
Does it contain fertilizer?? Just curious

This ash must be very Fertile
These people need some proper snow shovels to clear all that ash! It must be so difficult to clear the ash with the tools that they have right now.
We live in tropical land that basically snow shovel is useless because there is no snow
THAT ASH WILL HELP REVITALIZE THE SOIL.
Be greatful if you not destined to live in a place/country that exposed to natural disaster every year
Oh Cmon. Seriously??? First earthuqake on Greece. Volcano Etna acting up, now this to???
its pretty normal here you get used to it. except if its like a huge eruption or huge tsunami
@@g.g47 i went through a period of getting strog earthquakes lile 6,5 for a couple of days and aftershocka that followed for months and since we are neighbour countries with Greece their earthquakes are felt here aswell and i will never understand how people can get used to this kind of things while im still freaking out. Will always blow my mind that u can get used to them
@@NOONE-cd4gu yea that happened in palu a lot of aftershocks i live in bekasi we sometimes have earthquakes but usually they are from neighboring cities and im pretty grateful that i live high up so if there is an earthquake i wont get hit by a tsunami
but here theres a lot of flooding like a lotttttttttt
@@NOONE-cd4gu but yeah about eruptions its usually the smoke that pretty dangerous yes the lava is also dangerous but it moves pretty slow so people who live besides volcanoes just move out for like 1 week than go back
oh wow
They can make bricks with ash for construction of residence
kok gua baru tau brita ini disini ya.. 😔

Don’t volcanoes make radioactive smoke around the initial volcano
Nope, but it's still dangerous for lungs, skin and eyes

Yeah but after some months it would be very fertile and green. I've experienced it. For about 3 months everything is grey like weird snow. It's also bad for our body. But as time goes by, grass an other plants just grow significantly
Except, it is done by nature, not humans.
Atleast this didn't go like Pompeii!
We do have similiar thing before like pompeii. You may want to check tambora and krakatoa eruption, its impact not only in Indonesia but also around the world.

Vulcanic ash for beauty products and health has such a high price on the market. They are cleaning it? They realize they are rich?

Volcanic ash destroys preexsisting farmland, get your facts straight.
Umm... after a volcanic eruption, the land around it would become more fertile
@@IceIR27 yea but that takes time and if they dont do anything about its dangerous for there health
@@g.g47 my friend, here some people live near a volcano to get the fertile land.
@@g.g47 after an eruption, they will wait for the volcanic ash to stop, clean things up if possible, then when everything is save and ok, they would use the land around the volcano as farm land.
