Mick Flynn, thank you so much for putting this great song on-line. I loved it the first time I heard it, which was in a pub in San Diego, California, where Irish singer Bill Craig used to come to The Blarney Stone several times a year, in the mid-1980s. When Bill would take a break during his sets, I would jump on the juke box & play what looked good. This very song had made it onto the Blarney Stone jukebox, as supposedly Jim McCann was a personal friend of Pete, the owner of the Blarney Stone. I played "Weather the Storm" every time on that jukebox. A different Irish singer I knew, said that Jim McCann played stadiums back in Ireland, but he was less comfortable playing in intimate settings...which was an interesting dynamic. I have no idea if that was true, but it sounded like McCann had been to great heights in his music success. Thanks again for posting the song--which I haven't heard in 35 years! Cheers, man! - George
