I have had mine 4 weeks and love it. Everyone bags the 2lt but it has plenty of power and torque. Off road it is a champion while still being a pleasure to drive around town .
I would love to see an XLT or Wildtrack do the same offroad race track and have laps timed against the Raptor. See how much the suspension improves considering the engine and gearbox is the same. Add an FX4 to the comparison too as it has another different suspension type.
I’m looking to buy my first ever ute and going to be the family car with 3 kids - 2 needs car seats. Currently driving a Q7 (2018), but wanted something can do bit of off-road, during school holidays. Comparing 2020 raptor with nextgen v6 Wildtrack. What would be your thoughts in terms of practicality and comfort?
@@JF-di1nr not according to chief engineer for the Ford Ranger Raptor, Damien Ross. “Ross explained that while it's capable of this type of driving, Ford wouldn't warrant any vehicles that were clearly abusing the vehicle in this way beyond its regular use. "It's not a stunt vehicle and customers shouldn't use it as a stunt vehicle. I don't want to see Dukes of Hazard stuff," he said”
Would the 18" wheels from the Ford msrt ranger be a better wheel/tyre set up if your not hard off roading? Or a more road biased tyre stop the tail sliding out?
Shame it’s not up-spec’d in the engine dept and it really should be a permanent 4WD. This could solve the tail-happy issues. Lumbar adjustment should be electric and in a Ute that costly the seats should be ventilated also. Once again - no soft opening tailgate. Best to wait for the new Raptor.
Well at Cars sales you find Raptors about 4-5 years old for $70+ with like 100k kimono them, so the question of what will the New V6 TT petrol be worth 😉 … of which WILL have performance unlike this one.
$80k thats only. $56k us dollars people spend $75k us $ on the new bronco thats $106k auz $ but we don't get diesel ranger s our best is FX 4 now the tremor

With that power u should have bought a vw golf 😂😂😂😂
Everyone bags it cause it’s crap check how many are for sale

Idiot a v6 ranger would destroy the piece of crap road or track , they might have fancy suspension however the rubber band motor is crap
@@tyzon00800 that was 10 months ago you moron, the raptor only had the biturbo back then
FYI - The 230 plug in the rear seats has been removed on the builds from the last few months.
Great review team. More like this please.
"If you try this with another ute they'd probably land and explode"🤣🤣🤣
This is the best video on UA-cam for expressing this outstanding monster 🤘👍
Thanks mate!
4 cyl beast..flick into baja or sports mode and they turn into weapons..I bought it for it's capability and comfort..love it
Bullshit any mode cannot help the 2ltr 4cyl rubber band
Finally a proper review that actually suits this car. Great work. I want to try this park out.
How long until the new shape comes out ? 6 months ? 1 year ?
No doubt the Raptor is great fun Ute. I wish Ford made a Raptor Everest for people who prefer a wagon over a Ute.
Perfect
That's a great idea!

when they add a 1L puma engine in this body ill buy it
next gen will
Great vid guys, I’ve been watching a lot of vids online as I’ve been wanting to purchase one of these, great to see you pushing it
No mention in the video that im aware of, but Ford Australia have clearly said that doing this will void the warranty.
Nope, will have warranty.
There’s a whole book they give you about 4WDing it. Warranty does not cover cosmetic damages and wear and tear.

the new ranger has new gen. will the raptor follows?
very cool review!! so informative and concise!
Thanks Milai
Nice ride 👍
Jumps like a Kangaroo and lands like a Cat. Awesome Ford Ranger Raptor! My Dream Truck.

I these everywhere together with their twin the Ranger. Very popular.
the decals ruin its looks
14:35 The exhaust dumps down and ahead of the axle? Hmmm, interesting.
Maybe it was cut short to make room for the full size spare tire and more complex suspension.
Had mine a week now in the uk, I bloody love it 👌🏻

Yes I like this kind of stuf!
You sold me to raptor 2022
Select Baja mode and give it a go without paddels
what national park is this
Where is this being filmed?
Off Road Rush, North West of Sydney.
I have a Ranger Thunder and have driven a Diesel Raptor and all I can say is that it is slow. Ford should have changed the axel ratio.

13L/100 though😂
Why doesn't Australia get the f150 raptor
Because its oversized yankee junk
They are not considered viable here, no rhd etc..

Thats a small lift jack for a truck
80k what a joke lol
My mum wants this car ❤
Pointless vehicle glad to see they are bringing out a proper engine in the next version
The interior is just a bit dated now.
Better to get FX4 max
2 ltr vehicle with lipstick on it that won’t pull the top off a rice pudding
That's why they gave 3.0 v6 for the everest
Just a 30k ranger with crap body kits, no change to anything, dyno tune it at least
By the time the new V6 Ranger Wildtrack/Raptor is available, this 2.0 litre junk will drop its value like no tomorrow.
Must be a dust sucking land snoozer driver 🤣👌
Already has
Looks like putty rd
