I was born in 1996 but I remembered growing up in the noughties still playing outside, no computer, no smartphones. I played with real toys not on the technology. All I had was a gameboy!

But I think, the difference between youtube and facebook, that you can watch funny videos or share good music with friends, but in facebook, you have your own, sometimes fake, virtual life, and you doN't want to do anything real.
For example, they say, why meet friend if we can chat.
Why do homework if someone uploaded it and I can copy.
Why read a book, if I can watch it in a movie.
Why play sport if we can play NBA 2k13 or Call of Duty.

A lot of this video is inaccurate... Generations before the 80s generation were doing a lot of the things he claims the 80s generation is the first on as well. Programming VCRs? It's not like being born pre-1980 made you unable to do so. In fact it was the generations before the 80s generation that put them together in the first place.
Also video games technically started in 1947 and the Odyssey came out in 1972.
