In this scene, Jack is kind and gentle with Will, at some point he stops treating Will like this. I find that sad. Instead of borrowing Wills imagination, he slowly began to demand it. And with Hannibal's influence, it got out of control. Which turned Will from a grumpy antisocial professor who needed a puppy pile hug from his dogs and some gentle live and acceptance from being, to a confidant man capable of killing and semi in love with a Cannibal serial killer. A cinnamon muffin to a cinnamon muffin who can and will kill you. Its a shame.
I think it's kind of a tease to write in the script that Will's first said to be an Aspie only to debunk it shortly after with the actor agreeing. It might be MY Aspie brain saying this, but it's also in my heart kind of disheartening. Like Hannibal dangling Miriam Lass in Jack's face. Or tricking Will into eating Abigail's ear to frame him for his crimes as the Ripper.
They established early on in the show that while they put him around aspergers that is not what he is completely. Like Dr. Lector while he is considered to be something, the truth is he is called that because they have no idea what else to call him. His ability to completely empathize with people makes him more complicated then that. Plus his condition could change due to the efforts of Dr. Lector, the trauma he suffered, and of course that brain tumor.
It's just you have my hopes up and it wouldn't even be the first time Hugh PLAYED an Aspie (Adam from Adam was one after all, played by Hugh.) and you just dash those hopes.
It's easier to be a spokesman than to be among the crowd.. that's not abnormal .. variable by the dozen as to why.. start with personality and work your way back
For me, Will is autistic. The way he talks, moves, just exists throughout the whole show just makes me believe he is autistic and if the writer and actor disagree then it's because they don't know enough about autism🤷♀️
No, in the script it was written that Will deliberately lowered his glasses to avoid eye contact. Jack realized that and tried to put his glasses back in the right place.
This physically hurts me. I love him. He's so sad and angry and uggh he deserves the world
I agree ☝️
So interesting comparing this with how Will has changed over the series - here, he is completely devoid of Hannibal's influence !

@KitchensAreHot True, but to throw away the post he's hitched to simply because you don't like the idea? Still cheap.
TennantJunkie1993 yeah that's one thing i didn't like about the series. first and last time they had will with aspergers was the first episode, lol

1:07 😥😥😥😥 I am weak he must be gay to ... I also see why Hannibal killed him cause he try to steal his man
More like TRIED to kill.
I dont think so he just wanted to put his galsses back on his nose so he would have to look at him in the eye
