Beautiful video naturegirlangie! Thank you for sharing your purposeful life and Airstream. Your advice about embracing the moments and experiencing joy is so true! I admire you for sharing your curiosity and making the choices that bring you joy.
What a delight getting to meet you in person, Angie. You’re an inspiration to this traveler, and just just a big open heart on this path. Thanks for being here, Angie & Ruby! ❤
Love it…funny thing…your story is like mine, but not. And I started documenting some things like you have. Lol. Great minds think alike. Well in other words, I’ll be posting about my new journey without a house. ☺️. I love your story.
How adorable!!! I just traveled from SLC to Seattle, Portland, down the gorgeous Pacific Coast Highway onto San Francisco and finally Yosemite and back while following my favorite singer Natalie Merchant. I have dreamed of this adventure over the past 20 years in one of my beloved Audi Avants and had the time of my life just over two weeks. When not staying with friends yeah it surely was tight sleeping in the back a few of those nights with a full sized 18" spare and a massive beach cruiser bicycle but it was just marvelous indeed. As a metalworker on a budget I am looking now to build my own "Bambi" replica by chopping up a stripped out larger Airstream land yacht/Sovereign aluminum body shell in half then going from there. Thanks so much for sharing dear.
That sounds amazing! I loved traveling in my Jeep wrangler before I got my Bambi, sleeping in the back. Having a trailer to stand up in is definitely nice! Good luck on your Bambi adventure and hope the build goes smoothly.
Hi! Sorry I missed your message. Do a search on Amazon for wall baskets. And I just used adhesive things that are made to hang shower caddy’s so I don’t have to drill :)
Was that expensive replacing your axle and wheel? Over a couple grand? What caused it? Was the Jeep wrangler not able to tow your Bambi up and down hills?
Hey! Did your first Jeep jk have trouble pulling your airstream? I know it’s at the top of your tow limit. I have a 20018 Jeep jk and I don’t wanna trade it in for another payment, plus I don’t wanna waste all the overland gear and work put into it. But I love the 16 ft bambi Caravel so much.
Hey! The wrangler did tow fine. Mountain passes were a bit slow and I was always worried. It was maxed out though. Definitely need a weight distribution set up on it. My wrangler had over 104k miles and I was starting to worry about the mileage and taking longer cross country trips over lots of passes. That said - I miss my wrangler and the over-landing set up alllll the time. The gladiator does a lot better though and I can actually see better and back in better with the gladiator.
Definitely something to consider if it’s right for you! My recommendation is to try it and see if you like it. I started doing a lot of overlanding first. Good luck and enjoy chasing your dreams!
Too bad the title was just a little misleading. Thought it would be about how livable a small air stream for a year. That is why you used air stream in the title right.
Can I ask you about where you're finding/buying your accessories (shower, kitchen, side panel near the door, etc)?? And also what are you doing for internet?
Hi sorry I missed this! I got the items from Amazon :) just search for wall baskets. Internet I’m using Starlink or a pepwave max wifi router that’s run off ATT cellular.

I love the Bambi 16' but we needed something bigger for our family but I would love a Bambi still just for me! :-)
So true!
Can you drop a link for the baskets in the bathroom and by the door? Did you drill them in? Super cute rig!

Wheel bearings went out and destroyed the axle. Maintain your wheel bearings!

I'm 24 thinking about transitioning to a life similar to this or vanlife, any recommendations?

Where did that come from! Expected a trailer review! Hmmmm! Enjoy
Ah, I see what you expected. 10/10 would recommend. 😁 happy new year!

Hello Jeffery, yes, I lived full time in my 16 foot airstream for just over two years. :)
You should always rent your house, a lifetime' of income and somewhere to fall back on.
That was one option I considered.
Can I ask you about where you're finding/buying your accessories (shower, kitchen, side panel near the door, etc)?? And also what are you doing for internet?
