I am a women,,had external and internal beam radiation,,1 year later I had rectal bleeding and no doctor in the cancer clinic did anything about me complaining for 5 months of blood mixed in my stoole or bright red blood that fills the toilet bowl. It wasnt till I went to my local emergency hospital that they gave me a colonoscopy and I was diagnosed with radiation proctitus! He has been doing this for 30 yrs and I am the first woman he has senn with this! So beware,,woman can get this too,,mine was for cervical cancer.
