You should still be an inspiration for people who likely are missing a hand or in survival and still do camping videos see what *can* be done.
Your videos are not only for leisure camping 🏕️ but also inspires the prepper community ⛺ for emergency camping and many may end up in emergencies while injured or get injured in the emergency and bugging out.
      *Be their inspiration*

James,I worked in work comp as a Dr. for many years. Trust me on this, if I were you, I’d get a work comp attorney TODAY!
You’ll have no out of pocket costs, and you get (close to) immediate access to proper Dr.’s.
When your Atty, calls your WC insurance, they pick up the phone - and get it done. Best wishes to you with all this…

Unfortunately you are going to have to get an attorney. Don't play with your health and do not keep waiting hoping for the insurance to do the right thing. I'm about 7 weeks out from hand surgery and it's not fun. It takes a long time to recover and with nerve damage time is so very important to whether you get full functionality of your hand back. I'm told by my occupational therapist that it's going to take 6 months for my hand to be back to good after having surgery. So please protect your health and get an attorney ASAP so you can get in the road to recovery. Many blessings to you James. Stay strong!

You need to hire a lawyer. Let the lawyers talk to workman's comp. I've been there and done that. Best decision I made. You don't need to pay for a workman's comp lawyer. It comes out in your final payout. They get a percentage. Look for one ASAP. They can help you more than you know. Don't sign anything from the restaurant. Tell them they need to go through your lawyer. Take control of your ship by hiring a captain to help you.

You don’t need to be full time to get compensation even if you aren’t eligible for benefits. Talk to a personal injury lawyer if they don’t want to compensate you. It happened on the job. A personal injury lawyer doesn’t charge if you don’t win.

James most of us watch your videos to virtually "hang out" with you are Cuevo. No matter what, we are gonna keep watching every video. If your videos ultimately become a one hand guy camping and the challenges involved, all of us will still be here and you may even make some new subs from people who also have physical issues. Take us all along on the surgery and PT journey, that may bring a lot of new people to the channel. My point is "vlog" style content, minimal editing, just day to day during this, we will all watch.

Hey James. I've maybe commented on about 5 videos in total on UA-cam in about 10 years. Long time watcher here, first time commenter.
6 years ago I cut my left index finger very badly, down to the bone. The cut severed the tendon that makes my finger move. It required surgery or I would never use that finger again. 3 days after I cut it, it was repaired by a Plastic Surgeon. It was 5 months from the day I cut my finger to when I was cleared for work again. I regained 90-95% of my mobility, and (so far) all of my strength. The kicker was... I took my rehab SERIOUS. I did everything they told me to do. I did not start doing my hand exercises before they gave me the green light. But, I did every silly exercise, every day, multiple times a day as instructed.
If you take the rehab serious, even the small things (and I know you will), you will get a functional hand again.
I sincerely hope you regain as much of your mobility, strength, and feeling as you can.
I'll be watching every video you make to support you.

When I trained for special tactics warfare with the special forces we had to do certain things one handed simulating firefights with a wounded arm. Also in the concealed carry course you need to be able to sh00t one handed with your non dominant hand and reload mags one handed. There can be some fun in this. Gotta think positively.

    Aloha brother
I had almost lost the use of my dominant hand at work. I was injured in 2021. It was something that shouldn't have happened if the work equipment I was using had been replaced promptly. But no, cheap as government that I work for decided in the middle of the pandemic, our department didn't have the " budget" to buy a new, get this, a Mop squeezer!
My hand up to my neck was horrible. My hand took the brunt and I had to wait 4 months for my hand to get to finally able to move my fingers again. After PT and Work therapy to redo all that I do at work. I won't lie it was hard and took me a bit over a year. I got at least 78% use my hand. I got lucky and WC hear was pretty quick and I had a good insurance adjuster. I am closing out my case finally and waiting for a physical which will lead to a settlement.
I will support you as much as I can. You do have a long journey, but I believe you will get better.
I will chant for you to have better energies to help you along
Take care, and cheers from Hawaii🤙
    P.s
Like a few comments advised, get a WC lawyer it will be very helpful!

Don’t wait. Consult a personal injury attorney. Initial visit is free with most of them. At the least, they can get attention from the insurance company/workers comp. Go Now. Do Not Pass GO, just GO NOW. Get statements in writing from witnesses who can confirm it happened on the job.

I am 80. Woman. Lived alone in the wilderness all my life. Over the years I have had serious and nearly catastrophic personal situations occur in my life. Each time it seemed that whatever was happening was definitely not a good thing. Several times, I ended up losing physical attributes I placed my personal value of who I am as a person, in. I was an accomplished wilderness girl, accomplished martial artist.
I had to relearn how to live life on different terms. It was a major blow to my self worth.
Not a day goes by I don't wish I was the old me.
But along the way, I learned other traits that I value almost as much...Inner Masteries. It really helped me to pursue Daoism more than I had before.
It helped me to re-read Carlos Casteneda's books, especially The Power of Silence.
I do hope you regain the use of your hand, but if you don't.....perhaps it is meant for you to deviate from the path you were on, to pursue other Masteries you put aside, or didn't pursue because the path you are on now has been a comfortable one.

I had a stroke about 1 1/2 years ago. I used to ride my bike twenty miles a day and workout. Last person in the world you'd expect it to happen to. All these overweight and out of shape people and it happens to me at the age of fifty. Now I hobble when I walk and I can workout but only lift a hundred pounds. I can leg press the entire machine and I ride the exercise bike

Hey, bro, do what you can, we'll help as we can. Your videos on desert survival plants were pretty helpful and informative, maybe do some more of those, or how to find shade and water and survive the desert day/night cycle. Just some thoughts for more video content. I used to live in your area, and you even showed me some things I didn't know about, so kudos to you. Stay strong and drive on!
