I chose the 1000 over the 650. I found it a little Moore spaceies- iam a tall guy.
Also didnt like the vibrations on the 650, they are really pesent at certain revs. 1000 is really smooth.
But the 650 is a great bike and in some points even better than the 1000:
The clutch is on the 650 way more comfortable (easier) than on the 1000.
Gearbox also fells ten times smoother on the 650.
The 1000 drinks fuel like a horse water.
I ride smooth and need 7.5 liters on 100km....
Insurance for the 1000 is insanely high...
Plus I think the look of the 650 is a little better.
But I still wouldnt choose the 650 over the 1000.
Here in Germany the 1000 sells very badly so that you get great Deals.
Price difference is only 2500 Euro. I bought mine brandnew for 10200 Euro...
And it is still a 1000cc bike with crazy Power, awesome sound and you can cruise really good with it - in 5th gear at almost any speed.
Also love the 190 rear tire!
    Ride save Bros✌

Could do without changing cables and wires. Just reroute them. I did 500 km in 5,5 hours and I did that with a smile. It's a really good bike. Funny, I find it so easy to turnaround on the road/street! I tried Ducati monsters, Yamaha MT models, several KTM's and others and this one was my choice. And fuel, I can't go less than 20km/litre. Average 24km/litre. And I do not try to save fuel!

And the different riding modes makes the 1000 a better daily in my eyes I live in Florida and having Rain mode would definitely come in handy because rain and Florida are like bees and honey. 1000r is better if your bike is your main or of transportation and if you have a car and your bike is just for fun the 650 is an awesome choice in my opinion. Buf if you are always on your bike every day I think the 1000 has some really attractive features you don’t get on the 650
