What is the recommended manufacture static and dynamic weight load for the canopy? Really liking the RLD vs the Smart cap. Thank you for the video installation.
The RLD is 700 lbs static and 300 lbs dynamic. I have really been enjoying the RLD cap. It's delivered as one solid unit all welded where I believe the Smart Cap comes ready to bolt together, where I did not want that on the trail.
Thank you for sharing this. I am interested in getting one and found this very informative. Now that you have had it for a while, is there anything you would change? I see RLD has a few add-on. Paint match? Windows on the side panels? Add one of their storage boxes on the side or the slider shelf for wolf boxes?
Hi Erik! I am very happy with the RLD cap. I like the solid side doors and the decision not to get the storage boxes on the sides. I can open the side doors and access a lot in the bed. I also have a Decked system, so my "floor" is about 8 inches from the top of the bed rails, so I can reach in and get most things. If a cap fits your needs, I highly recommend the RLD system. Hi Fong! They do not open from the inside. The latch click from the outside before being able to rotate out off the frame.. if that makes sense. Thanks for watching
can you open the Cap sides or rear door : from the inside?
Could you sleep inside the bed Cap and get out?
Hi Ring... there is no handle to release the doors from inside. I have tried to open latches by hand, but they are pretty tight.

Yes, it is delivered all together... a big shipment, but it is solid and fully welded together.
