I know you meet with Knoebels management now and then. I have a suggestion for them for FUTURE expansion. I would like you to present my suggestion to them and find out if they are FOR IT or AGAINST IT. And, if they are FOR my suggestion, I would like to know what the TIMELINE is for STARTING the expansion. Here is my suggestion: When I look at Knoebels Park Map, I notice that they do NOT have much room for future expansion without removing some rides. However, I do notice an area where they could expand: starting to the Right of the Bald Eagle Habitat, continuing behind the Super Round-Up, and ending to the Left of the Ole Smokey Train tracks. According to their Park Map, this area is about the SAME size as the area for the Impulse. I am NOT suggesting they put another attraction the SAME size as the Impulse back there. I would use the area to put rides back there the size of your average regular ride in the main part of the park. The size of the Italian Trapeze would be about right. Now, Knoebels might say the park could NOT afford the expense to expand into this area. There probably already exists underground plumbing and electrical infrastructure that would have to be moved. In order for Knoebels to afford the expense, I would suggest to them to postpone adding any new rides for a year or two. They should put the money set aside for adding rides towards just changing the area above and below the ground for future expansion. Then, at a later date, Knoebels can start adding a ride a year to this NEW area WITHOUT having to remove any current attractions.
As you saw, Winnie and I have been there probably a half dozen times this year and we're camping at the campsite as well. This park NEVER gets old. Great video and lots of fun.
JP, another great video of my favorite park of all time. You got some really cool shots. Thanks! My first visit was when I was in 5th grade, which would have been 1980 when I was about 10 years old. It was a school field trip and it was also my first taste of freedom (besides having free reign over my neighborhood, like all kids did back then), as they actually just had us use the buddy system. Loved Knoebel's then, went back a good many times over the years, and just yesterday my 22 year old son and his gf were there. That park is a national treasure-- no, a worldwide treasure. Oh and now I guess it's about a week after you recorded the video, and I sure hope you are feeling better from that tumble you took. Stay safe out there JP.
loved the video as always, good to hear you`re on the mend. Dont worry bout missing stuff on the list you did over n above for us, your efforts always appreciated n loved. Again thanks very much, was much enjoyed xxx
Great video! Thanks for taking us on the tour and the rides! Knoebels has done an excellent and exceptional job of keeping and mixing the old with the new.
They have, and it saddens me when people say they have rusty or janky rides, it's so far from the truth as they invest so much into them, and people get upset about that too when they are keeping up rides like paratrooper before there ever is an issue. Every ride is someone's "favorite ride", but i feel like any closed ride has a higher possibility of being a favorite ride when people complain, lol.
Thanks, JPV for bring back a place I spent with my kids when they were little. Maybe one day my grandsons will be able to experience Knoble's and the campground before the lord calls me home.
Thank you for taking us along to share the fun at Knoebels ...the Tilt-A-Whirl would be my favorite ride ,also the Scenic Skyway and the Pioneer Train .. ..the Purple flowers 💜are beautiful ! Great to see the joy all around ...people just enjoying their day ....and we got to enjoy it with you ...thanks again ! 👍💙
It was nice seeing you that day. :) My husband and I both work at Knoebels, and we love this place. We also have a UA-cam channel and we sometimes do a video of this park :) Hoping one day our channel will be awesome like yours :)
With what is going on at Lakemont park I hope Knoebels can work out a deal to get Leap-The-Dips, refurbish it, and keep the oldest roller coaster in the world open!
Thank you JP I haven't been to Knoebels in 10 years I need to come back but on the other hand I have been exploring other amusement parks my total is 151 AP's and FEC's
I always enjoy your visits to Knoebels. Your appreciation and fondness for it reminds me of how fondly I remember the theme park we took our kids to when they were young, Busch Gardens in VA. But Knoebels seems to be unique, one-of-a-kind. Made me want to ride a flume or a wooden coaster!
When I was a kid (45 years ago) Kennywood in Pittsburgh had a Flyer ride. It was on of my favorites. When I went to Knobels, I was excited to ride it again.
Hi JP! That was a lot of fun. I was waiting for a great video at Knoebels. Always enjoy when you take us along! Hope your injury gets better soon! See you in the next video! 🥰❤️😎
What a fun day!! Enjoyed tremendously! Thank you, Thank you, Thank you for the roller coaster ride! 😮my stomach fell when we went over the first drop!! Made me feel young again!! Stay safe!💙
Such a fab tour, Jay! Thanks. Very enjoyable. If you ever go to a county or state fair plzz stop by the farm animal exhibits. Especially the cows. I don't do any rides anymore. Tilt-a-whirl was my fave when I was a kid. As was the scrambler and octopus. The foods are always fun to try. And your corny chicken spuds looked fab! God Bless, and greetings to you, Jill and Lili from Minocqua, WI.
Knoebels flying turns reminds me of o ne of my first coasters. Operaland usa had a smiler ride.Screamin' Delta Demon LOved this ride as a young man!!!!!!!!!!!
Hey Jay WOW! What another awesome video and trip to Knoebels. Praise the Lord that the weather held out for you making for a perfect day. I would love to be able to come there with my family, but we live way down south in Oklahoma. The cost of the trip would be a little too steep. But maybe one day, the good man will bless us. You looked like you were having a great time. I love the train and the dark rides which were my favorites, but I always have a love for the tilt a whirl. But from experience, NEVER ask the operator if that is the best he can do because kharma is wicked and evil. BUT FUN! I never realized anything could possibly spin that fast. Really hoping you will do another Halloween video there. They always make it look so amazing and you do such a great job bringing it to life. Will be joyfully awaiting the invitation to your next exciting, video adventure. Until then take care, stay safe and God bless. Steve in Oklahoma
Yes, it's funny to shoot the water at others. But you can also pull a prank on those behind you in your own boat. As you approach the bottom of the drop, the person in front bends over way forward, and most of the splash hits those behind! 🤣🤣🤣🤣 I have never been able to do any kind of ride that spins in circles, be it tilt-a-whirl, octopus, or rock-o-plane. I get motion sickness way too easily. As I've gotten older, it's gotten worse, to the point I cannot even watch such rides! 😞
What a fun time, loved every minute! The log flume is awesome, and the water geysers would be great entertainment for sure! lol The Phoenix sure is crazy and wild, hope you are ok after your ride. Your mashed potato bowl looked delicious, and I think the skyway has such gorgeous views! Love the train and the carousel! Everything is wonderful! My favorite though, like you, is the fantastic Haunted Mansion! Someday I am going to get to Knoebels! Amazing video JP, thank you! 💙
Who knew a 25 cent water geyser can be sooo much fun? The mashed potato bowl hit the spot and the entire day was great. Hope you can get there for yourself and I know someone who can give you a tour... 😁
I always love when you go to Knoebels. At one time I would have rode every ride there but now I have trouble with my hips and shoulders (arthritis) so I can't handle any jarring type of movements. The tilt a whirl and the rock o plane were always a favorite. On the Looper you have complete control on how much it rocks back and forth and if it goes upside down or not. I'm so hoping I'll get up there one day and will be able to take my grandson to Knoebels. I hope you do a video of Hallo Fun. Always love to see the decorations especially when you ride the train.
There was a ride just like the "Looper" ride at the old Columbus, Ohio Zoo park. It was called the "Rock-N-Roll Over". I use to love riding it back in the 60's and early 70's. The Amusement park side of the Zoo is now gone. The only thing left is the old wooden roller coaster. The Zoo side got to big, so they got rid of all the rides. Jack Hanna was the curator of the Columbus Zoo.
This was awesome. I really enjoyed walking around with you. Next time you need to do the Carousel Museum and Stoney Gables Fudge Shop. Take a ride on the Antique Cars too. We'll be coming there in Oct. Maybe we'll see you there.
Thanks for the video. I have visited this park regularly when I had to attend training for my job in Williamsport. I also did dedicated trips just to enjoy this park, as you mentioned they do a great job on maintaining this park and value keeping older rides as part of their charm. Their Halloween themed nights can not be beet, I have attended several and they always seem to find some way to improve them every year. Unfortunately I have not been able to visit the last two years due to injuries but do hope to get back to see them again. I have visited manny different parks both in Pennsylvania and across the country and have never found a park as nice and clean as this park. You asked for other subjects to cover. How about the Bloomsburg fair? It’s too late for this Yeager but you could do it next year. Thanks again and I look forward to your other videos.
I really love watching your videos on place i would love to see on my bucket list.....but sadly i cannot do it ....but no matter what i still enjoy watching your video on this Park ....
We are there every year to camp over Labor Day weekend. The park was pretty empty for you because a lot of the people (like us) were setting up their campsites for the weekend. I was surprised to see that you didn't go to the famous Friday All You Can Eat Fish Fry. When we got in line at 6pm it was out close to the soft served ice cream stand. We look forward to it every year.
Have you been to the carousel museum? There are a couple items there from Camden Park in Huntington, WV. A Wurlitzer paper roll player and at least on horse. Camden Park acquired the Wurlitzer in 1929.
Do you still go around checking out decorations? I remember seeing yard decorations for Halloween last year but not sure about Christmas. By the way, Camden Park in Huntington WV was founded in 1903 by the Camden Interstate Railway as a picnic area and soon added a carousel.
I enjoy checking them, but don't feature them on my channel anymore. Content was getting a bit too scattered back then so I stopped filming certain things.
That cosmotron ride looks similar to the one that I rode back in the 90s but only it was outside not indoor and it had a DJ in the middle of the circle and it went a heck of a lot faster I still can't remember what it was called to this day ?
This video was based on viewer suggestions, so I hope you enjoyed how it came out and spending the say with me.

There's a new one coming out tonight!

We've rented cabins there and loved it. Hope you guys have a blast.
Yes JP some rides are just so relaxing and enjoyable the train, sky lift etc...and a good splash of water on an extremely hot day

More of that on the way

it was so fun watching you riding the rides. You do need to do a video on your train set up. It's been a minute since you showcased it.
I had a fun time. Not much has changed since last time I showed the layout.
Love the flowers and trees etc that are a lil off to the side.

the Luzerne County fair in Dallas PA
If black diamond isn't used as a halloween attraction would love to ride that one too
It's not, the experience is the same as summer time. Fantastic ride.
Great video! I was there that same day.
I remember seeing you. Was hoping to catch you working at the carousel.

I was there at knoebels on August 26 2024
I was there a few weeks ago and got to ride Black Diamond completely alone. i was the only one in the building it was so creepy lol
I had to check my calendar I missed you by 3 days. I was there Tuesday afternoon and you were there Friday.
Awesome
I like the haunted mansion but it is sooo loud

Good video jp. What camera do you use? The dark ride looked good, mine usually just looks black
Dark rides were filmed with DJI pocket 3 on low light mode.
Sounds like the Frati and The Berni Organs are not playing on the carousel

This one used to have a screen/grate in the middle with a large fan that would blow air. They're classic rides.
