Those ammunition rounds are definitely not.22 they are most likely 7.62 .303 or .308 22s are tiny compared to that. Even .222 which is a similar shape round is smaller than them.
Can’t wait to see y’all fish the new area. I’m still waiting to watch someone pull a suit of armor.! 😳😳 With y’all’s good luck, I half expect to see that. 😊
Peaky Dipper's could the magnets be so strong that when they pick up a watch ⌚ that it could be picking it up from the metal on the inside i don't know what the insides are made out of though just a thought love the Chanel keep up the great work and stay safe
Oh and if they're NATO rounds they would likely be 7.62 or 5.56 which is actually very similar to the .223 but again those rounds were too big for that. .22 rounds the bullet itself is around 6mm in diameter but the whole round, cartridge and all is only about 25 or 30mm long if that.
This video helped me ID a weirdo purse I have. I deal antiques but never managed to ID it until now. Darn it that it is missing the gun, but oh well. Marie you are a star. All of you are a joy to watch. Was the ring tested? Stay safe, much love to all.
Hi Peaky's Michael - That coin is a nice find , It's from Greece , And yes it would be nice if it was gold or silver , But it is nickle composition And the gun Kirsty found is interesting piece ,, Thanks Peaky's 👍👍👍
Hello Peakys, what a fantastic video! Full of exciting finds. Shout out to Mr Fox and Kirsty on the brilliant finds. We'll done all. Thank you, Marie, for your wonderful history information about the gun in the purse holder. 👛 🔫 clever way to conceal a bang bang back in the day. ❤❤❤❤
Hi guys I missed the live been dealing with city hall here! They gave no warning of street work and waters been cut until Monday and with winter here that's not the time to be doing that crap! And to make me miss the live well I'm livid! Way to clean up the little change purse to get the bullets out, amazing to think that those little nails and screw to be in the change purse, inroder to be able to pull it up,and Steve's find is nice to find.
Thanks Peaky & crew for wearing flotation vests! Everyone PLEASE remember to wear your flotation vest when in a boat. We had a loss here about a year ago when a young chap jumped in a river for a swim in winter and the cold water shock/paralysis got him. He never surfaced. A diver friend of mine ( Sam Sam the Adventure Man ) searched for him, but he was found about a mile downstream a week later by the county S&R. It only takes a few seconds for the cold water shock/ paralysis to disable you. Nice finds on the guns & coin purse. Those bullets looked pretty damaged, almost as if deliberately done, from the look of the hole in one of them.
Thanks for all your vids and Marie's history briefs all best wishes to all you Peaky dippers, and maybe next year you will come to the Northwest to check all our old canals and rivers including the oldest canal in the UK.You know where that is ?All the best for Christmas and New Year.
They're not NATO. The only common NATO rounds are 5.56 and 7.62. Those are most likely .270 Winchester. As for cleaning them carefully, those look to be in pretty good condition. A stiff brush isn't going to harm them.
The bullets in the purse look like .22 Winchester Magnum Rimfire (WMR). They're a rimfire calibre anyway. If they're .22WMR then they're not obsolete. A quick measure of the bullet (as in the projectile bit at the end) will tell you what calibre they are and the case length will confirm if they're WMR.
@@PeakyDippers I was thinking that way but wasn't sure if that was the reason for it. Even if a gun isn't capable of being used or so many years old. Shouldn't it be classified as an antique and collectible? Thank you for your answer. I was curious as to why it wasn't shown during the findings.
Pistol purse? Wow
I’d love to own one of those purses! Nifty little things😉

More cool finds and interesting history, especially the purse gun !
Thanks Whitney xx
Best thing is to very carefully clean the base and you should be able to read what they are. If they are NATO they are probably dated too.

True of the centre fire cartridges, but not necessarily the rimfire cartridges

It’s a great clear picture Glen. Glad to see you guys out on the hunt.
Hi Diane 🤗
Brilliant video and finds again guys. Love the old grenade. Stay safe all
Thanks Sean
Why didn't you show the gun?
Because it would've been handed to the police, you'll only see it in the video amd definitely not in the finds at the end as I won't being guns home
