As those of you who were at this past TFCon may know, I had the privilege of voicing Shockwave/Longarm and Beachcomber for Keyan Carlile's TFA deleted scenes panel!
For your viewing pleasure, I have the original version here to compare with Corey's take in the updated release on Keyan's channel. Hope you enjoy!

Beachcomber was too high to even realized he died

This just tells me that Shockwave had to merk autobots on a daily basis because he keeps blowing his cover again and again.
And some how he ends up getting away with it because they're all incompetent as beachcomber.
Legit yeah. He killed Highbrow to get the position
If you need to keep your secret, Shockwave, then you might, y'know, more often not standing around in your Decepticon body without reason ? No ? Okay, dude, cool
Probably out of hubris he probably hates the Long arm form and can't wait to go back to being Shockwave

@@Timeliner2004TF haha yeah yeah I know, this Shockwave is a VERY far cry from the original Marvel comics Shockwave that once realized Megatron was useless and disposed of him VERY successfully and took over the Decepticons...and killed a ton of Autobots along the way...but yeah also I kinda accuse the tone for being a bit more kid friendly (and yes I am aware there are dark moments like characters actually having serious deaths) hence why Shockwave could take out Beachcomber in such a Looney Tunes kind of fashion...its clear he's about to murder him but Beachcomber casually stands there and lets him do it...I mean if you have that kind of minds in this show, its not surprising even Shockwave has his clumsy moments...
@@Avalon64 Well, according to bio, TFA Beachcomber is very drug-addict, so, i'm not surprised that he slighty...scatterbrain...even as i'm never seen him close in actual show before this video. But, his lines here was funny. Like " Not cool, man " about 'Cons on Cybertron. Yeah, Beachcomber, very not cool
Ohoho, Marvel Shockwave is totally different character at all. And this Shockwave is cool, too. And his double agent theme grown up mostly from his G1 cartoon role, where he just hang out on Cybertron and just...guarding...and guarding...and received Space Bridges...so, this 'Wave actually do something. I'm was kinda sad when his career as spy ended
@@Timeliner2004TF not gonna lie I kinda prefer G1 cartoon Shockwave...yeah his record and his role was less then stellar but he had a cool form...and through it all he remained loyal to Megatron which is kinda a tall order when you realize how many Decepticons tried to take over...he's definitely a very cool boss battle in the Platinum Game's Transformers Devastation I think that's a great depiction of how he could fight if he was allowed to

I'm pretty sure no one would have believed beachcomber even if he got out of there alive. He strikes me as the kind of guy who partakes in nucleon if you know what I'm saying.

Yeah, that's just racist... sometimes decepticons take it too far over the rainbow, but that one takes the cake... I mean, come on... blue is my favorite color... alongside red, orange, purple, hot pink, lime green, golden yellow, black, white, and brown... those are the colors of the transformers we know so far in transformers animated... but when I said blue is my favorite color with the other ones, we know so far... I don't like to play favorites here... because that's fascist... I respect all colors and am willing to help them all... and i also mean, i love all colors in real life... so come on, people... don't be playing favorites with different colors of transformers... they might get offended... y'all don't want to be like shockwave... he killed a few blue autobots... and that's racist... so this version of Shockwave is racist and y'all don't want to be like that lilylivered fascist varmint... y'all want to be like optimus prime... so that's all I have to say... see y'all next time...
I guess we now know Shockwave's as good at his job as Punch was.

@Imperial_Lizardgirl In The Rebirth, Punch (in his Decepticon disguise) warns two Decepticons his Autobot twin is "real nearby", walks out of the room, switches to Autobot identity, then runs back in and starts blasting (and gets beat up very easily)
In the Japanese show, he has a couple of scenes where he forgets which disguise he's in, and acts suspiciously under cover, like sprinting through the Deceptocon base. If Cyclonus hadn't been reduced to a bumbling goon, Punch would have been caught in his debut.
Shockwave: There’s a perfectly logical explanation, Beachcomber; you are incredibly high right now.
Beachcomber: Oh yeah, that makes a lot of sense, man.
Shockwave: Go take a stasis-nap and sleep it off.
Beachcomber: Righteous!
I don't even know if the cut fragment with Beachcomber is better than the fragment with Blurr that we got in the final version or not, but more likely not, because: on the one hand, Beachcomber died in an equally terrible way, and on the other hand, it is difficult for viewers to feel sorry for the character who appeared on the screen for a couple of seconds, said a couple silly words and died almost immediately after that, while Blurr has a whole bunch of screen time and viewers manage to get into his character, which makes his death more difficult to bear
(If anything, this is my personal opinion. It's your right to agree with me or not)
I think the scene with blurr was supposed to happen just after this one as he was rushing to Cybertron.
I suppose this could be among the reasons why this scene was cut, having 2 Autobots killed off in less than 5 minutes and in the same scene no less.
The episode was likely gonna give more attention to Beachcomber if I heard correct about it.
Blurr is still alive.

So Beachcomber was supposed to be in Animated? Does this mean that Blurr wasn't, or was this a completely separate scene unrelated to Blurr being in it? If so, Shockwave Prime has no qualms about his kill count it seems lol.
If I remember correctly, this is unrelated to Blurrs "death" scene. Because this scene never made into the episode, Beachcomber did end up making cameos throughout the season

Indeed! We’ve worked together on a few projects for Keyan lately and I had the pleasure of meeting him at this past TFCon!
He was also the one who did the storyboards/rough animation for this scene

Wow, beachcomber is a mellow dude... but i don't know about a hippie thing for him... at least he would give him a jamacan accent... now that fits his personality...
Not bad, but it does feel a bit out of character for Shockwave to act irrationally, even it was to save his cover.
