This is the only video that helped me out! I was so confused but you make it look so easyyy...please post as many as you can...you make my life easier...thank you very much!
In 12 hours I am going to sit my FAPR exam but couldn't get my head around margins and mark-ups. Thanks to you I finally got it! THANK YOU SO MUCH! You are BRILLIANT!
I don't think I'm the only one who thinks that you will make a great AAT teacher!!! I understood this topic with only your 1 hour lecture vs not understanding with one week worth of reading course material, googling, and watching other youtube videos. You have a subscriber for life lol.
This women is amazing! This Has helped me immensely as well as many more of SJC Videos. With her methods, formulas and ways of teaching my confidence and work produced has greatly improved. Thankyou!
Can I just ask whether you do the 2 decimal places in real life as apposed to the exams? I loved the presentation but it clashes with what I've been taught for my exams which is essentially that "you won't have a question with decimal places." According to my tutor and material (KAPLAN) anyway. I have no experience in finance but want to learn for real life scenarios as well as exams, I don't see the point learning to pass something if i can't imagine how it would work in the real working world if that makes sense
I always work to 2 or 3 decimal places at work then round where I need to. Gives a more accurate figure and less rounding variances. You will have to be comfortable with rounding in all circumstances but take note of what the exam wants you to do. Good luck
This was really helpful to work through and really worth the time as it takes you through slowly and carefully how to make calculations regarding mark up and margins - I was really struggling with this and worried about facing an exam question so its really helped me. I'm a visual person and its made me feel more at ease now doing the calculations and working through what needs to be done, more than any of my written notes. I took notes and have more understanding now, so thank you!
Thank you so so much for this! You are one of the best tutors on UA-cam for accounting. I notice you haven’t uploaded in quite a while which is a shame as your videos are helping me pass my exams!!
Thankyou. Such a clear way of doing things. I was getting bogged down by the books showing a multitude of confusing and different ways to do the calculations. I think I'll stick with the decimals from now on. Thankyou.
Hi can you please explain also in margin if target cost is given.Like if target cost is £193.75 and the company sets the sales price to achieve profit margin of 22.5%what will be the sales price.Thank you.Your videos are great!!!

1-0.225=.775 ; 193.75/.775 = £250 selling price ; check- 250-193.75= 56.25; 56.25/250 *100 = 22.5% ; noy sure any other way
Great and helps me to understand
