Really helpful video. Seeing someone demonstrating how to do the job was great. Prob took me about 15 only coz i struggled getting those little clips that hold the door card on out of the door body.
Very helpful video, with step by step instructions. Autolock didn't want to work first up but I just redid it and got it going fine. See even girls can do it.
Thanks for the video. Worth noting if you are doing the rear doors that there is an additional screw at the back (inside door jamb). Also keep track of which screw goes where as the ones at the bottom and back of handle assembly are different from the rest. Have some grease on hand to lube up the lock and handle cables and nodules as they may otherwise be a bit stiff, especially the lock.
Very helpful video. Just replaced the front drivers side door handle on my 2011 Hyundai Elantra Touring. Elanta Touring is the North American name for the I-30. I didn't unplug the two electrical connectors but I can understand doing so would make filming the the video easier. It was a bit below freezing outside which made it a bit challenging.
Hi there, I’ve done the replacement with a new part but the automatic lock and unlock doesn’t want to engage - it effectively just stays in the locked position. Any tips or tricks here?
@@thepartsfactory4239 the cables appear to be on the right way as it works with the old unit when I swap it back over. Is there a rubber catch/ block at the top of the lock mechanism that may have slipped off which helps with how far in the lock unit can go?
@@AH-qv3wf Just replaced the handle and had the same problem with the automatic lock. Found the metal barrel on the cable end was very tight when inserted into the plastic recess in the new handle. Placed a tiny smidgen of grease on the barrel and re-insert fully into the plastic retainer making sure the cable can swings down into the plastic retainer otherwise the cable will kink when it is engaged in the locked position. NB it helps to have the cable in the fully extended unlocked position to start with.

Are the two wires different the balck and grey or could you just buy one and exchange it with the other
Thanks mate. The door card wasn't as easy as you made it look but we got there on under 10!

Sounds like that cable isn't on properly. Or it's reversed. The cables might be the wrong way around

@@rosbl3185 I have the same issue, did you manage to fix it?
I'm having this problem too - were you able to fix it in the end?
