Nicky chetry Nepal didn’t claim strongly then because Nepal didn’t have the power or perhaps the will to go against India. Nepal was fine with India using it because it was of strategic importance to India and of little or no use to Nepal. I honestly believe Nepal Govt. still didn’t had opposed, had India approached Nepal with positive dialogues. But indian Govt. took Nepal for granted and build infrastructure there without Nepalese government’s consent. It is obviously a slap in the face for any sovereign country to let and watch a foreign country occupying and building infrastructure on it’s land. Simple as that.
my opinion is that Nepal should sign "sign of accession with Bharat As a state of Bharat like other states.. In Nepal most of the people are Hindus and Bharat is also a hindu majority country so we should be united togather... as it came to my knowledge that in 1947 Nepal self approach to bharat for union but Harami Nehru refused.. About Tibet I read in The Atlantic paper ,Tibet belonged to China but the Qing Dynasty neglected it and the local lama became like a zamindar and kept people like slaves Mao Tung developed it but kept the lama in check. The idea is the role of lama is of a state governor since Tibet is the the 21st province of 23 provinces.

Still he was ignorant in sino-india border & didn't take any defensive measure.... Lt.Gen Kaul was very close to Nehru , he was the Chief of General Staff when General Thimayya was the Army Chief. General Thimayya wanted to appoint Gen. J.N.Chaudhury as the Commander in the Chinese front because of his battle experience but still Nehru insisted to give the command in the hand of Lt.Gen Kaul as he was very close to him. Lt.Gen Kaul never commanded an Army in a front because he was close to the PM & posted in Army Head Quarter as an administrative officer . When china was closing in NEFA near Tezpur in Assam,he fled from his command Head Quarter in Guwahati in the ground of health problems leaving his junior officers & soldiers on their own. Nehru and Kaul was responsible for our defeat in Indo-China war. We lost in the battle of NEFA just for Nehru's failed diplomacy and Lt.Gen Kaul's battlefield inexperience .
