    Am overjoyed to learn that one of my favourite sportspersons is into Truth and The nature of reality and my favourite non dual teacher Rupert. Two worlds collide and reveal that they were always one ❤️

    It would be great to listen to Rupert talk with a snooker player on this subject. It’s really clear how psychological states massively impact people in that sport.

    Thank you very much Rupert and Johnny 👍
    As an Irish man and rugby fan I have to first admit to never cheering for Johnny when he played for England , I did however have a huge admiration for his world class rugby talent and now my admiration has gone through the roof for Johnny and I would like to thank him for what he is now doing . 🇮🇪 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿👍🙏

    “Meditative” practice is the spiritual equivalent of the physical training athletes do outside the game. We practice softening into our natural state in order to enhance our performance in the game of life. Integration is the sweet spot.

    • @andore8639
      @andore8639 2 роки тому +4

      I don’t think athletes are zen masters whose awareness awakens to itself whenever they practice. Maybe they can get in a space of no thought or extreme focus for the duration of whatever practice they’re doing, but don’t you think they would all be enlightened at this point if they were so good at resting in Beingness whenever they wanted to? I think what you’re referring to is just a state of mind, more than the dissolving of the illusory self.

    • @moonglow6639
      @moonglow6639 2 роки тому +7

      You don't need to practice at all though because our true nature is always there. Meditation is just a tool masters gave their students to pull them from the madness of the outside world I think.

      @@andore8639 OP was making an analogy, not suggesting that athletes are enlightened lol.

    This was so good, thank you both of you. I’m stoked to see someone, especially a guy from the very masculine world of rugby bringing this stuff out to a wider audience and in such a charming and accessible manner. Well done lads!

    This is so incredible. I have some experience in these matters too as I played baseball professionally. The transcript of this conversation should be printed into a book and handed to athletes all over the world.

    I always suspected Jonny to be a very spiritual person as I've seen the light in and around him on many occasions, you can see it so clearly in his eyes. This is a wonderful talk by 2 very special and beautiful souls!.

    What a very pleasant surprise to come across this interview with Jonny and Rupert. Although maybe not that surprising as there’s always been something a bit different about Jonny. His punditry is very calm and objective, he doesn’t get involved in the hype and sees things with great perspective. Always slightly different to the other pundits in word, tone and delivery. This interview reveals all 🙏❤️

    I'm not a sports person, but I recognise this state, free of 'labels' and restrictions of mind. I love it! Fascinating. I think of it as being centered in my 'soul', rather than in my small personality/mind. (whatever soul is..) Thank you.

    It always fascinated me to watch Jonny kicking a conversion. Totally focused and seemed to be completely oblivious to the surrounding noise. Completely in the flow, almost as though he could see into the future as he anticipated the ball going through the uprights.

    Recognition of REAL/TRUE "I" always comes
    first followed by transformation. Initiation of
    TRANSFORMATION is impossible without
    RECOGNITION of our real/true "I".

  • @pallabdatta6926
    @pallabdatta6926 2 роки тому

    Transformation means the manifestation of
    SEPARATE/UNREAL "I" gradually coming to an end with the gradual begining of manifestation of TRUE/REAL "I".

    This is honestly one of my favourite ever podcast episodes. It connects two things I'm fascinated about - elite level sport and mindfulness. You'd think they're very different things, but it's actually so closely connected. The pursuit of limitlessness, the flow state, the removing of all inhibitions and doubts to reveal our full potential. Superb!

    Johnny W, I AM delighted that you are here; I would love to hear you share a chat with youngsters about the Now, and share this exploration. I am doing my best but your podcast interviews and experiences would engage them hugely. Let's be part of the flow!

    Great interview Rupert and Jonny, thank you. Jonny asked the question at the end, can anyone come to this AWAKENED state ? In my experience with thousands of people in a conscious conversations group is that pain was the biggest factor, mine included.

  • @cm6815
    @cm6815 2 роки тому

    My only question is this is realizations that we must come to ourselves. But how do we allow someone the space to work it out when their past feelings overwhelm them? They don’t want suggestions or anything but to be identified with their traumatic feelings from the past because it’s what they know and want validated but they/we are so much more than those past feelings and thoughts. But it’s difficult to hold space for them/us because it’s painful to be apart of it. Until we get back in touch with our true self we are unable to gain any momentum from growing and transmuting these painful periods. Nice to know how to be truly present and allow love, trust and acceptance of messy times unfolding.

But, Jonny really enriched this discussion by bringing to the discussion a wealth of self-awareness of his own. Delightful conversation.
