Why have I never heard of this woman. Absolutely breathtakingly. Remarkably versatile and so humble. She should be world famous. What is she doing now? I would pay big bucks to see her in concert and there are not many I would say that about. Fabulous.

By far one of the best to ever compete on X Factor. As she predicted from her audition, ultimately it's about the looks and other intangibles that makes it hard for a 36 YO to find a place in mainstream music. But she was a joy to watch and listen to and a deserving winner that year.

@@deborah5587 I watch Sam nearly everyday since discovering her about 9 months ago. She’s truly a gift and wonderful in every way. Just as a little update on post show. Simon did sign her to his label and I believe she made either 2 or 3 albums with him. She went on 2 world tours and although she said she loved it her young kids didn’t. Don’t know if you are aware but by the end of this show she was pregnant with her 3rd baby; a baby girl who also counts Sharon Osborne as her Godmother. According to Sam; she and Sharon are extremely close and lifelong friends. Anyways, there are rumors that her husband “forbid “ Sam from touring b/c he didn’t want to stay home and watch the kids however I’ve watched 2 fairly recent interviews and she seems really happy. She built her dream home with a large studio where she has self produced an album last year. I believe it also sold well. She is in her 2nd or 3rd year with Disney singing Ms. Potts from Beauty and The Beast. She said in interview she loved doing musicals and loved local theatre work. She has a fairly large following on Facebook where she sings once/week for the past 3/4 years. Her oldest daughter plays 2 instruments now and last year took up singing too. Her net worth is between 8-10 million dollars. I don’t know if the husband “abuse” rumors are true but if so she seems like the happiest abused woman I’ve ever seen. Plus, as I said to someone else I find it hard to believe as close as she is to Sharon that if true Sharon and Ozzy wouldn’t have helped Sam out of that situation long ago but that’s just me. They just would not have tolerated that at all. There are lots of articles/interviews and current UA-cam of her if you google her. Hope this was helpful. I just adore her and pray she is happy and safe. ❤️

Her husband who pretended that he was so pleased for her threatened to divorce her and ensure custody of the children they already had if she didn't have the baby they had conceived "accidentally". She entered the show because she felt that it was her chance to achieve her dream now that her children were in school (and Sharon was all set to promote her around the world because she saw herself in her) but fat old ugly bloke put holes in his condoms. He is such a vile abusive creature. The children will tell the tale when they are adults. Poor Sam is just a product of her "men know best" upbringing. She allowed fat old ugly bloke to drag her away from her family in Kent to his home in Leicester and the rest is sadly history. The sooner he pops his clogs the better. The children and she would be far better off without the wife beater.

For narcissistic performance with a finalist in a talent show just look at Katherine Jenkins scuppering the superior Rhydian Roberts' chances in the 2007 final while Kylie Minogue allowed the absurdly average Leon Jackson to be the star in theirs.

She takes this huge breath while she does a half squat and fills herself, plants her feet and freakin’ SINGS!!!! She gives it all back and more, this woman, she DELIVERS THE NEWS and gives it all she’s got. She can sing anything, ANYTHING but I think watching and hearing her deliver rhythm and blues is her forte!! I’ll be the first in line to buy “Sam Bailey Delivers Her Soul” CD/download. I love these big songs and I get a little nervous to start with that they do not butcher them, but Sam nailed every one of them. I love Sam and it sounds like you appreciate the great voices of the 90s and early 2000s. We are missing that today... I have found a singer on UA-cam named Morissette Amon!!!! She lives in the Philippines and is well known there as a performer but her TALENT is Whitney , Celine, Mariah and I'm not even kidding.😳. Check out her recent performance video on UA-cam of " Can you be Messiah" .. she also has performances on the Wishbus 107.5 radio station in the Philippines and it's LIVE. Try Rise Up , Never Enough , and Secret Love Song . She also has songs in her own language. If you love the soaring vocals of Sam and gritty growls and squeaks that Sam has then you will absolutely flip over Morissette.
She slayed every fkng song on that stage and with her age, oh my goodness. In my opinion, she never had a bad week. Her voice was always at 100%. There were more mellow weeks but still, her voice was as if she was in her 20s. Actually, her being so grown up and developed, her voice got so much more full and has so much more depth to it. I think my favourite was when she sang bleeding love and that last song, skyscraper.
