    I Love your videos and the time you take to educate us. I love those large white mixing bowls in the video but didn't see a link to them in your list. Can you please share. Thanks again for your wonderful channel. I am totally addicted. It is such a gift during these trying days with the world in such misery. Oh one more thing-I would love for you to do a video on all the wonderful root vegetables/provisions Puerto Ricans use in their cooking. Name, malanga, yautia, etc. Thanks for considering,

      That’s an awesome idea!! Thank you for the suggestion and compliments. Those are the ceramic nesting mixing bowls from Crate and Barrel, but I recommend getting the duralex clear mixing bowls because the white ones scratch and discolor easily.

    What do you think about adding raisins as they so in the Caribbean corn masa pasteles

      You can totally add raisins to the meat towards the last 10 minutes of cooking. A cup should work.

      I married a Canadian. I'm just a redneck neighbor of yours in the part of Texas I call Baja Oklahoma. You know, the part where if you wind up here you're really lost and I had to explain it to her. Still the smartest thing I ever did was to marry her...even if she does get a bit confused sometimes.     How do you like that knife? I've seen that knife for sale and was hesitant to pull the trigger on it. would you recommend it ? Or should I keep it moving and invest in another brand?

      I love it. I've owned Wüsthof, Henckels, Shun, and now Miyabi and it's a great knife. It's not as heavy as German knives are, but I need something lighter now that my hands don't work like they used to.

    Awesome that you did a vegan, however, can you do a veggie pastels? I don’t know how to do the masa, but once I learn babe, it’s a rap. Impossible meat is not meat at allll it’s actually worse, look it up you would be shocked of what it is made of, talk about possessed girlll you would never want to touch that let alone make it…

      Yes, that's why it's called Impossible Meat. It can't be meat if it's a vegan substitute. Most people look at the label and purchase based on their preference. Obviously, if you're not a fan of a product, you should choose one that you are comfortable using. Hence, the reason I make my filling with lentils. Veggie pastels would just require you sautéing your favorite minced veg in a small amount of oil and adding the tomato sauce and other spices to create a thick stew.
