- Frank Sinatra, Jr. passed away today, March 16, 2016, at age 72.
These video excerpts (recorded from my phone - please read disclaimer below) are from a special concert he held at the Saban Theatre in Beverly Hills on December 12, 2015 - what would have been his dad's 100th birthday.
For the first minute and a half he talks to the audience about his dad. Then I show him singing "Nancy (With the Laughing Face)". Nancy Sinatra was actually in the audience that night.
While singing "Nancy..." he has a little fun with the lyrics, invoking the names of Julia Roberts and Cameron Diaz. That's at about the 2:13 mark.
Then I show him singing my personal Frank favorite, "One for my Baby (and One More For The Road)". An apropos song for the occasion I suppose.
Junior put on a good show, and my wife and I had a great time. It is amazing how much he looked like Papa Chairman.
Good luck on that road out there junior, and say hi to Frank Sr. for us.

It's still hard to believe that it's been a month since he has passed away. I was at that exact concert in December and I will never forget his amazing performance.

Only 3 months & 4 days later Frank Jr. passed on @ 72. Never got a chance to see him & thought I'd have one down the road.

I was lucky enough to see this show at a different performance and I was more than surprised.On Sundays I never miss "Sunday with Sinatra"by Sid Mark streamed from Philadelphia and in its 63 year.
