Sorry we missed the LIVE! Had to catch the replay. Our favorite travel food hack to keep us on track is a carnivore-ish meat based cinnamon bread that we keep frozen and we either take a pat of butter or cream cheese with us. By the time we get hungry it's defrosted and tastes like having a slice of pound cake. Great with a cup of Joe and all protein. Saves us on those early morning flights. Karen and Therese

Btw some stores sell hard boiled eggs if you don’t have a kitchen to make them. Sometimes i see them at the cashier area in the soda refrigerator.

I'm going on my first "meat retreat" Ketopalouza in October! While im super excited to be able to get away, 4 days and 3 nights in a hotel, without my kitchen, is a little intimating. Im sure i won't be the only one rolling up with one suitcase devoted to meat products 😆😆😆
You definitely will not be the only one!
On our recent trip I took meat crackers, cheese crisps and jerky. Also LMNT. TSA drug swabbed it all. The young man was so apologetic. I was more miffed he had to open my wallet. 🤨
This past weekend I stayed with a friend in the hospice room. Purse bacon, carnivore snax, Parm crisps and protein bars and LMNT. Ate once in cafeteria for breakfast: scrambled eggs, lots of bacon. It is doable.

Your loose skin is a badge of honor. I am underweight at this age and still have the loose skin from losing all the baby weight and excess weight I had after pregnancy. It doesn’t look good but the only person who sees me without clothing is my hubby. I feel it is a badge of honor. I worked for the weight loss and I worked hard to get rid of it. Yes, it would be great to lose that skin but it is part of me. I am 63, almost 64. I don’t care if the skin is there at this point. I am proud of what my body can do at this age so it doesn’’t bother me that it is there. Is my body perfect?? No, but it sure can do a lot. I lift heavy boxes during every shift of my job and I am happy I can lift them. At the age of 25 I couldn’t do it. I started lifting weights at that age and had a lot of trouble doing it. Took me years to do it comfortably. Then I had my son at 34 and ended up fat (for me, 5’1”) and unhappy. I didn’t pick up another weight until I was 45?? At 58 I began my job in the bakery, not realizing I would end up working at night, lifting heavy boxes of frozen things on a continuous basis. After a year of that I had muscles like you wouldn’t believe. They are still heavy but it doesn’t bother me anymore. My 63 year old body can do things I never thought it could do. So that skin is still there and I don’t care anymore.
Agree! I can do stuff I never I never thought possible in my 30's and 40's! And now I'm 66!

I did that, I was keto for years. Just gradually eat more meat and less of everything else! Maybe this would make a great topic for a livestream?
@@KetogenicWoman think it would be Its not easy when you program yourself in a healthy way and then hearing that there can actually be a better way....one you were told "oh meat is bad all meat and animal is bad" only to find out that it is (meat and protein) so GOOD for you I think that's a great discussion....and thank you for answering me...your journey is truly inspiring...Julianna NC
Hi. I'm new here. Just wondering about bacon. I get headaches from nitrates, nitrites, and don't want sugar so I only eat what I buy at my health food store. How do you trust hotel's free breakfasts bacon? I'm sure it's not nitrate/nitrite/sugar free.
No they will not serve nitrate free at a free breakfast bar. I don't have that issue so I don't worry about it. But if you have food sensitivities like that then you will have to be more careful in choosing your foods and it will be even more important to try to bring your own food while travelling.
