Aide sounds promising as an AI coding assistant. While it was originally developed for Apple hardware, they have recently launched an alpha version for Windows. I haven't tried it yet since I'm a Windows user. However, many users report that it's superior to alternatives like Aider, Windsurf Cascade, and Cursor Composer when it comes to understanding code context and avoiding breaking changes in the codebase.
Allowing us to use our own API keys, rather than attempting to proxy the LLM calls, makes for a better model where they don't need to charge small/personal accounts like so many open source projects.

Phenomenal!
Can you try Kodu AI VS Code Extension?
This looks promising. I wonder how it can be completely free.
